[PREMIERE] DZEKO - NEVER GONNA LOVE ME FT. SAM JAMES

Wow - so much amazing music dropped this week, and today seems to be extra awesome!  We have another "first" for ya today with our next premiere of "Never Gonna Love Me ft. Sam James" by DZEKO. This is his first vocal single since he announced his solo career and he says, "My new direction still dance music, but more song oriented than just instrumentals with a vocal sample before the drop. I want to focus on the songwriting just as much as the production" I have a soft spot in my heart for Canadians, I just love'em! This Toronto based producer is coming on strong with this new dance single with big beats and tasty pop melodies - it's dance floor fire! Sam James's soulful vocals are delicious, I'm swooning! [PREMIERE] AZURA - LANTERNS

Oh boy! Today I get to do one of my favorite things, and that's premiere a brand spanking new track from a midwest newbie that most of you may not know about .... and this is where I do my happy dance! 20 year old Detroit producer Azura is bringing some serious dance floor heat with "Lanterns" released via our homies at IRL! This is the first official release from New York based collective IRL so this premiere is double special! "Lanterns" is a fantastic mixture of electro house and lush loud eastern influences that will get your booty shakin. It's light and airy feels has put a smile on my face ... this one effortlessly flows into a good time! MORGXN - HARD PILL TO SWALLOW

Nashville born, LA transplant (aren't we all?) morgxn is following up on his ridiculously catchy tune "Home" with his first release of 2017 entitled "hard pill to swallow." This fearlessly vulnerable tune not only puts his vocal brilliance on display with the brilliant falsetto, but also further exposes the moody brilliance that we've seen developing on prior releases. We've also heard that this tune comes with the announcement of the looming Vital EP coming later this year. Brooklyn, you can catch Morgxn at the Neon Gold pop shop 1/20 at Baby's All Right and a few select showcases at SXSW (wink wink) this March. PATRICK REZA - LIGHTS OUT FT. ABHI THE NOMAD

I've spent the weekend listening to the rain hammer the tin roof on my parents backyard patio, it echos through the house when we have big storms which is quite thrilling for California. With flash flood warnings, closed roads and power outages, I took the opportunity to disconnect and spend quality time with the dogs. Now it's back to work, and I can't think of a better track to kick off the week! Our homie PatrickReza is back with a delicious new track "Lights Out ft. Abhi the Nomad" that's bringing all the future feels. It's not even 8am and I am throwing my trap arms - the feelgood vibes are strong with Abhi's vocals .... swooning! Happy New Year! Wow - I took some time off!  More than I have ever taken in at least 5 years ... it felt good but I kept thinking about all the music I was not getting up on BB and feeling sad. This is my life I guess! You might have missed this one because it dropped right when all the holiday madness was happening, and I think it deserves another boost! Los Angeles duo ARMNHMR teams up with Element to produce this heater "Wings" featuring Graye ... it's all the future feels with funky groove you could ever need! TYE JAMES - LIES

This latest tune from Tye James ( ½ of KNGDAVD check out their tune "Poppies" if you haven't heard it yet) "Lies" is a deeply personal tune that definitely showcases his vocal prowess. The tremolo guitar and drum sticks comprise the simplistically somber instrumental leaving plenty of room for Tye to make his mark. His piercing full voice easily slides up into falsetto and back down for his vocal improvisations. The lyrics talk about the heady contradictions that have forced him to confront reconciling his spiritual beliefs with the true desires of his heart. A struggle that all too many deal with daily. Tye speaks to the conflicted and does so with a yearning passion that is all too readily apparent. You can download this emotional tune as a free download here.  

MEMBA - WARRIOR

Danggg, MEMBA lays it down heavy with a tribal, bass heavy banger i can't get out of my head! Just heavy enough to send the crowd into a frenzy while staying funky enough to not scare away anyone who may not share as strong an affinity for heavy bass tracks as i have come to know and love. Everything i have heard thus far from these gents is golden and versatile, and their live performances feature a healthy portion of live instrumentals that calls my name. AUTUMN IN JUNE - COCAINE EIGHTIES

This is not the first time we've talked about this fresh Los Angeles electro pop newbie, and if he keeps dropping jams like this if definitely wont be the last. Autumn In June has a new single "Cocaine Eighties" and we are loving all the things about it! He mixes up 80's new wave electro funk with 90's R&B with synth pop and hip-hop vibes ... I can't get enough! This kid writes and produces all his own tracks in a log cabin in his South Central back yard that he built himself from Youtube instructional videos ... I can't even make this shit up! He's great, and not listening to Autumn in June is not an option.   

[PREMIERE] SANDER W & ALEX BRANDT - LOSE MY COOL (ORIGINAL MIX)

Oh man it's holiday break for me, I got to sleep in this morning, it's bright and sunny in LA (albeit a bit cold), but I'm the perfect mood to premiere this upbeat deep house record from Belgium's Sander W and Germany's Alex Brandt. Sander told me he's putting a major emphasis on including live instrumentation into not only his recordings, but also his live show as shown with the sexy sax in his tune "Make You" and now the incredible violin from Violinvasion in "Lose My Cool". This tune has some tropical roots with the xylophone melodies layered throughout, but is a total groover from start to finish. Perfect to bring you back to warmer weather, this is one of 4 tracks from his 'Four-Part Harmony' EP due for release Jan. 30th. Although you can download this one for free right here.
