I feel like I am perpetually one hour late to all things! I can't help it, I get involved in something, most of the time it's work, and all of a sudden I'm late to the party. This morning I am already late for work and I am late getting to this premiere! Granted I was watching our new President take office ... but I digress! What I'm not late on is knowing the greatness of XYLØ, we've been huge fans for a minute, and they played our SXSW party last year. Today's premiere comes from fresh NYC production duo Shades - their dance pop remix of "Get Closer" by XYLØ is delicious! Get ready for an afternoon delight with our next premiere, a sweet soothing jam from UK transplant Suave.  This young self taught pianist and producer now calls Cincinnati home, and today he releases his latest track "Take Me Under ft. Miranda Gulasy" via PRMD, and it's oh so very delicious! This chill electro pop vibe mixed with angelic vocals is giving us all the feels with sweet melodies and glitchy future beats - it sets a beautiful sad mood with heartbreaking warm thoughts of love ... sigh! [PREMIERE] EAT MORE CAKE - HEAT OF THE NIGHT

Honestly tho - this next premiere is pretty dope! Our loves over at Perfect Havoc just handed us another disco house heater, but I expect nothing less from our friends across the pond! Eat More Cake are a DJ/Production/ Songwriting collective from London creating some pretty awesome deep house jams that got me feeling some kind of way. "Heat Of The Night" is full of provocative deep disco vibes that will light up any dance floor. I've always wanted to be a part of a creative music collective, starting back with Prince and the NPG - I mean I really wanted to be part of the NPG ... always being seen together and belonging to something bigger than myself, creating music with other talented people and throwing parties. But .... I realize that I'm destin to be on my own, and actually the world is my collective, and I've become a little part of it all through Beautiful Buzzz - getting to spread the word about awesome collectives like Eat More Cake. [PREMIERE] DZEKO - NEVER GONNA LOVE ME FT. SAM JAMES

Wow - so much amazing music dropped this week, and today seems to be extra awesome!  We have another "first" for ya today with our next premiere of "Never Gonna Love Me ft. Sam James" by DZEKO. This is his first vocal single since he announced his solo career and he says, "My new direction still dance music, but more song oriented than just instrumentals with a vocal sample before the drop. I want to focus on the songwriting just as much as the production" I have a soft spot in my heart for Canadians, I just love'em! This Toronto based producer is coming on strong with this new dance single with big beats and tasty pop melodies - it's dance floor fire! Sam James's soulful vocals are delicious, I'm swooning! Get into this one kids! 

[PREMIERE] AZURA - LANTERNS

Oh boy! Today I get to do one of my favorite things, and that's premiere a brand spanking new track from a midwest newbie that most of you may not know about .... and this is where I do my happy dance! 20 year old Detroit producer Azura is bringing some serious dance floor heat with "Lanterns" released via our homies at IRL! This is the first official release from New York based collective IRL so this premiere is double special! "Lanterns" is a fantastic mixture of electro house and lush loud eastern influences that will get your booty shakin. It's light and airy feels has put a smile on my face ... this one effortlessly flows into a good time! [PREMIERE] RKCB - ENOUGH (HTPKT REMIX)

East Coast maestro HtPkt ratchets up the emotional punch of LA duo RKCB's "Enough", taking the track to another level entirely. Coming off the release of his debut single "Running (ft. Celestial)" HtPkt keeps the energy alive with his first release of 2017. His iteration of "Enough" jumps off with the soothing, melodic vocals of the original track, slowly building the tension until the final cathartic crescendo releases you into the full intensity of the drop. [PREMIERE] SANDER W & ALEX BRANDT - LOSE MY COOL (ORIGINAL MIX)

Oh man it's holiday break for me, I got to sleep in this morning, it's bright and sunny in LA (albeit a bit cold), but I'm the perfect mood to premiere this upbeat deep house record from Belgium's Sander W and Germany's Alex Brandt. Sander told me he's putting a major emphasis on including live instrumentation into not only his recordings, but also his live show as shown with the sexy sax in his tune "Make You" and now the incredible violin from Violinvasion in "Lose My Cool". This tune has some tropical roots with the xylophone melodies layered throughout, but is a total groover from start to finish. Perfect to bring you back to warmer weather, this is one of 4 tracks from his 'Four-Part Harmony' EP due for release Jan. 30th. Although you can download this one for free right here. 

[PREMIERE] ARYAY - NEVER GONNA LEAVE (DNMO REMIX)

Recently I've become familiar with this fresh British producer DNMO - he hit me up one day to show me some of his tunes and I quickly became a fan. This youngster is pretty great, and when I say youngster I'm not kidding ... the kid is 15, or I think he just turned 16.  Either way I am officially old enough to be his mother. They don't call me Rave Nanny for nothin! Teenager or not, DNMO has some pretty great feels and I think he's going to be showing us some big moves in 2017. This next premiere is a fantastic remix of "Never Gonna Leave" by Aryay, and it's a great example of his big future sound. Get into this one!! You can grab a free download HERE!

[PREMIERE] YOKE LORE - HOLD ME DOWN (GILLIGAN MOSS REMIX)

I first noticed Yoke Lore on the upper ranks of the Hype Machine charts earlier this year and was instantly entranced with the honesty and sincerity of the music. Part indie folk, part dream pop, and part experimental electronic, it’s reminiscent of legend-caliber acts like The Shins and M83, but is also uniquely its own. The project is the new musical venture of Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Adrian Galvin, previously of Yellerkin and Walk the Moon. I was lucky enough to catch a live set last month in Hollywood at School Night, and let me tell you, he did not disappoint!

I’m honored today to premiere the first remix of a Yoke Lore track, coming in the form of an unconventional, playful, house-influenced edit from Chicago-born, Brooklyn-based producers Gilligan Moss. Moss’ inimitable production tendencies have led to impressive remixes for artists such as Sia and Glass Animals and a 2015 EP of original music called Ceremonial with over a millions listens on Spotify.

Their envisioning of “Hold Me Down” begins almost like a symphony, then the isolated vocals make an entrance joined by a delicate synth line, and not until almost a minute in do we start to get any percussion. The beat is somewhat familiar indie-dance but is scattered with an array of flittering flourishes that lead to listener down an unexpected path. Coupled with Galvin’s hypnotic vocal melodies, it’s easy to get lost in — the perfect tune for a mid-December morning.
