BUZZZMIX VOL. 28 - BRONZE WHALE

Summer is in full swing - which for some means chill evenings and lazy weekends relaxing by the pool. And for others (like me and my fam) it's time to party! With festival season currently peaking, not a weekend goes by that we're not seeing our socials blown up with FOMO over some festival we're not at this year! It's a brilliant time to be alive! Our next guest mix is all about that party, and our homies Bronze Whale have crushed this next installment of Buzzzmix Vol. 28. This Austin future bass duo has been a bit quiet the first 1/2 of this year - hunkering down to work on fresh jams - including a highly anticipated unreleased remix of "Slow Burn" by Crywolf - which you can only currently hear on this mix!  Bronze Whale wants all of us to get lit, it's 100 percent made for hot nights in the club where we can dance like crazy and even throw the occasional trap arm! Now that everyone is back from EDC - today seems to be getting back to the normal pace this industry produces - I've been feeling great about getting back to the grind, especially with this latest remix from the ultimate homies Love Thy Brother. My amazing Canadian loves put their indie dance spin on "Emoticons" by The Wombats - holding onto a dark deep house edge with a slight 80's new wave vibe that I am loving! Love Thy Brother can do no wrong actually! Get into this one kids! 

KEYS N KRATES - I KNOW U (KRNE REMIX)

Oh snap! When our boy KRNE drops a new track, you know it's gonna be a good day! We try to support this Oakland producer whenever we can; he's part of our future bass fam that's been crushing all things within this emerging genre. A SILENT FILM - SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN (RAC MIX)

For any young person in this industry who claims to have not been influenced or blown away from an RAC track - I call BS! We've all fallen in love in one way or another with RAC, we can all remember the first time we heard a mix that had us at hello, or that first live show. RAC has helped shape our electronic music lives, and I continue to swoon over every track ..... every time! The latest mix "Something To Believe In" by A Silent Film dropped today and it's filled with swirly synthy melodies under steady dance beats and vibey indie pop vocals! Brilliant! Fall in love all over again with this one kids!  

MAX - 10 VICTORIA'S SECRET MODELS (WHEATHIN REMIX)

This remix is rad! The title of this track definitely lacks creativity in a big way ... but that's not our boy Wheathin's problem! Bad title or not, he crushed this track 6 ways from Sunday! This young Chicago producer is starting to emerge into our world as a serious contender as the next dance music ambassador of feel good future sounds! I love him! His version of "10 Victoria's Secret Models" by MAX is hot!  Wheathin has a few upcoming shows with Bearson over the next week - definitely gonna be at the San Francisco show! A-TRAK - PARALLEL LINES FT. PHANTOGRAM (MSTRKRFT REMIX)

No one on this track needs any introduction - and even tho BB is all about supporting the new up-and-coming artist, from time to time we like to show the masters the respect they deserve. MSTRKRFT is kinda mind blowing, and I will do a big ol' humble brag riiight now and say that they played their first live show ever at my SXSW event this year! Makes me smile everytime I get to say that! They have crushed this remix of "Parallel Lines ft. Phantogram" by A-Trak with all that delicious MSTRKRFT flavor .... so so good! [PREMIERE] DRAKE - HYPE (HONEST REMIX)

There is a ton of awesome music today y'all! So many tracks - so little time! This next premiere is from our super homie Honest! Last time I was with this legend in LA I was on my second bottomless mimosa brunch and we were challenged to see who could drink more ... I think he won, I can't remember! Haha! Honest has flipped "Hype" by Drake and loaded it with some serious low end house feels! It's delicious! Who is Kid Lizard anyway? He's pretty much come out of nowhere with some pretty great flips, and this one ended up in my inbox looking for a premiere! Totally into it! Plus - anytime Kanye gets flipped it puts a smile on my face! The dude is so cray cray and so mad talented you can help but to love all the things! Kid Lizard gives us a funky future feels version that is totally on point! This new kid on the block just might turn into a force ... keep them ears open for more to come! [PREMIERE] STEPHEN - CROSSFIRE (SUMMITSCAPE REMIX)

SummitScape has made a name fore themselves putting together some slick remixes for the likes of Galantis, The Killers and a Betty Who remix we previously featured. Well now they've returned with a sick, bassy remix of one of our favorite rising artists right now Stephen. "Crossfire" is a catharsis of emotion and SummitScape's remix is totally on point. The record starts appropriately mellow eventually building into a bright drop with an expressive blaring synth line that's tight af. Unfortunately we just heard some bad news that the SummitScape boys are splitting up citing an all too well known reason: artistic differences. At BB we've seen our fair share of duos head their separate ways and we always want to wish them the best of luck! Writing music together can be a challenging ordeal and sometimes pursuing other avenues is the best option. We've been informed that Harry has already chosen to re-brand as Thoreau. and has done so with SummitScape's former soundcloud page. We'll be looking out for the new Thoreau. music as it hits our inbox, but until then enjoy SummitScape's last release!
