After so many floor shakin tracks, producer ye. switches it up with a laid back remix of Konstantin's "Release Yourself" ft Ayla Shatz. In the past few months ye. has distinguished himself as one of the more notable new producers in the buildup to 2017, and this latest remix keeps the course while continuing to diversify his discography along the way. Prolific in his releases, but always just diverse enough to stay fresh, ye. is one of those artists everyone should be listening to, so make sure to check out what else he has out. You can listen to more from Konstantin as well here.

[PREMIERE] YOKE LORE - HOLD ME DOWN (GILLIGAN MOSS REMIX)
Music, Remix, PREMIERECommentI first noticed Yoke Lore on the upper ranks of the Hype Machine charts earlier this year and was instantly entranced with the honesty and sincerity of the music. Part indie folk, part dream pop, and part experimental electronic, it’s reminiscent of legend-caliber acts like The Shins and M83, but is also uniquely its own. The project is the new musical venture of Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Adrian Galvin, previously of Yellerkin and Walk the Moon. I was lucky enough to catch a live set last month in Hollywood at School Night, and let me tell you, he did not disappoint!
I’m honored today to premiere the first remix of a Yoke Lore track, coming in the form of an unconventional, playful, house-influenced edit from Chicago-born, Brooklyn-based producers Gilligan Moss. Moss’ inimitable production tendencies have led to impressive remixes for artists such as Sia and Glass Animals and a 2015 EP of original music called Ceremonial with over a millions listens on Spotify.
Their envisioning of “Hold Me Down” begins almost like a symphony, then the isolated vocals make an entrance joined by a delicate synth line, and not until almost a minute in do we start to get any percussion. The beat is somewhat familiar indie-dance but is scattered with an array of flittering flourishes that lead to listener down an unexpected path. Coupled with Galvin’s hypnotic vocal melodies, it’s easy to get lost in — the perfect tune for a mid-December morning.
Catch Yoke Lore on tour now supporting Handsome Ghost, remaining dates below:

12/15 Cattivo Pittsburgh, PA (tickets)

PHIL GOOD - SLEEPING IN (SEAN TURK REMIX)
Music, RemixCommentWe're big fans of Sean Turk over here at BB. Our boss lady has even gone so far as to say that he's better than tacos. Certainly debatable because...tacos! But when he keeps putting out consistently great quality tracks, like this remix of Phil Good's debut "Sleeping In", it's not hard to see why that claim could be made.
The original's hook "We're always sleeping in" is a next-level ear-worm which has been playing in my head since it came out. Turk's adaptation bumps up the tempo a notch and throws in some super vibey future synths, snappy hi-hats, and the kind of percussion that makes you want to get up and dance like one of those kids in those ridiculous meme videos you see going viral on Facebook. So give it a listen and grab a free download HERE!
[PREMIERE] JUSTICE SKOLNIK - AMERICAN BOY
Music, RemixCommentWe've had a lot to say lately about this new kid Justice Skolnik. He's been releasing some pretty great jams that we are loving, and we are all about supporting the up-and-comers because they become the game changers. Today we are psyched to premiere his latest flip of "American Boy" by Estelle - and it's 100% delicious! This Bay Area producer mixes his crisp dance sound with a deep house groove with touches of future beats for all the feels! We also all about that home town support! You guys can swoop this one as a free download HERE!
Also, if you missed his release last month - take another listen!
NOAH - AIRPORT BAR (COASTAL REMIX)
Music, RemixCommentIt’s the holiday season, so a time for traveling and spending time sitting in airport bars contemplating life, right? At least that’s what R&B/Neo-soul singer Noah must have been thinking last year when he dropped “Airport Bar” - a slow burning, blissfully relaxing number that borrows the melody from Willy Wonka’s “Pure Imagination” and became a smash hit on Soundcloud.
This year, Coastal — co-founder of SoCal label Clouds Collective and part of Ethereal Family — revisits the record, bringing it up to speed into a playful electronic track with some tasty future bounce. I’m a fan.
BASECAMP - IN STONE (VALENTINE REMIX)
Music, RemixCommentVALENTINE is one of those producers that I feel firmly confident labeling as “forward-thinking” and this remix is evidence enough. A little while back we shared his raw melodic bass take on Kid Froopy’s “bb (four missed texts)” for Moving Castle and his interpretation of OWSLA signee BASECAMP’s “In Stone” is just as refreshing. He’s taken the haunting original in a new direction with a hefty dose of bass, percussion, and assortment of edgy and shiny synths. If you’ve missed this one, you’re really missing out.
[PREMIERE] MARTIN GARRIX FT. BEBE REXHA - IN THE NAME OF LOVE (JUSTIN CARUSO REMIX)
Music, PREMIERE, RemixCommentWe've got a treat for you right here! I've you been paying any attention lately then you've definitely heard Martin Garrix's chart topping original, but today we're excited to bring you a fantastic re-envisioning courtesy of SoCal's Justin Caruso. Balancing a full college course load, producing tracks and finishing up a tour with 3lau, Justin has still managed to epicly flip Martin's ballad in a whole new direction. He's picked up the pace for the mix and fills it out with a bobbing dance chorus led by a spikey grooving bass line surrounded by airy arps, vocal warps, and energetic hi hats. Adding to his growing catalogue of remixes, this new Jack Ü inspired sound from Justin tones it back, yet still maintains the level of hype that we've come to expect from this camp. Tune in to this up-and-comer, we know there's lots more on the way. You can download this mix for free here.
[PREMIERE] LEO ISLO - EUPHORIA (BIRDEE REMIX)
Music, RemixCommentI am 100% chair dancing at the office right now ..... listening to our next premiere and kind of loving everything about it. Leo Islo released his killer Golden Grave EP earlier this year, and now our favorite LA underground electronic label PUZL is dropping some remixes that are so delicious you won't be able to resist shakin' that booty! We are lucky enough to be featuring this rad electro disco Birdee remix of "Euphoria" that grooves on level 10! This LA producer lays his sweet deep house vibe on thick - this is dance floor perfection. You can pre-order the Remix EP HERE!
PORTER ROBINSON & MADEON - SHELTER (MAT ZO REMIX)
Music, RemixCommentI had the pleasure of seeing Madeon and Porter Robinson perform together last week, and damnn it was a fun ride. Seeing those two (still young) legends go toe-to-toe playing all of their hits together was a total treat! We know these guys still have a long and prosperous career ahead of them, but it was good to reflect back on their meteoric rises along with the tsunami that is dance music. Mat Zo is also legendary in his own right. These three names are honestly ones that have continually inspired me in dance music, and the hits keep coming. Mat Zo crushed this remix of "Shelter" per usual, and it makes me super happy to bring it to your ears. Dive into this one folks. You can also stream this on youtube here.
