GRIMES - REALITI (EMBRZ REMIX)

Canadian singer-songwriter/producer Grimes, aka Claire Boucher, the electro-pop dance queen who broke out in 2012 has always mesmerized me. She’s one of those all-around artistic talents who is deeply involved in all aspects of everything she releases from videos and art to the engineering of the music itself. 

It’s to our delight that Dublin-born producer EMBRZ has chosen to remix “Realiti” from her 2015 album Art Angels. He’s taken the 80s-inspired indie-dance tune and beefed it up into a deep, rich, future-friendly house number. With pumping synth and side chain, EMBRZ has shown what he loves to do production-wise when it comes to remixes: create a driving danceable track that showcases forward thinking sound design while still preserving the essence of the original track.

LORDE - PERFECT PLACES (THE WHITE PANDA REMIX)

We've been seeing a lot of these Lorde remixes come through, and though we like many of them, I am feeling this one the most! The White Panda are back with a fresh take on "Perfect Places" by the Aussie princess, and it's packed full of that epic dance party vibe, which is what The White Panda are all about! With bouncy rhythms and those soulful Lorde vocals, this is an instant club hit. Perfect timing too, because our boys are coming through SF for a home town rager at the end of this month. September 30 at Mezzanine The White Panda will be dropping he craziest party vibes yet ... I can't wait for this show! Tickets are on sale, but they wont last so get yours fast!  

SWEATER BEATS - GLORY DAYS (SPIRIX REMIX)

Sometimes I listen to something, and it’s so good on the first listen I just feel compelled to share it with more people. I think that’s the real reason why music bloggers choose to write about music. As much as I love writing, I wouldn’t post a song publicly if I didn’t think that other people would enjoy it as much as me. 

This remix is one of those tracks that was so good that I knew after the first drop that I had to share it with the BB fam. Don't wanna jinx it but this could go #1 on HypeM easily, knock on wood. I’ve heard the original which is incredible, as most things from LA’s favorite homies Sweaters and Kiyoko usually are, and I’ve seen the name Spirix floating around the interwebs, so I could say I sort of knew what to expect from this song. Little did I know what I was in for. Spirix has taken “Glory Days” and turned it from an exciting electropop song into an electrifying supercharged magnum opus. The flawless production chops demonstrated in this remix of an already melodically impressive and hook-laden song just make you want to listen on repeat. If you weren’t already watching Spirix, this remix is reason enough to start.

BIG GIGANTIC - ODYSSEY PT. 1 (KRANE REMIX)

Is anyone else having one of those mornings where .... shit just drags? I'm having one and I'm not super happy about it! However, the homie KRANE just handed me this fresh new remix of "Odyssey Pt. 1" by Big Gigantic and I'm telling you .... THIS is just the kind of pick-me-up I needed. This bay area producer always knows how to get my blood pumping with his big bass tracks that are always packed with that future feels energy - and this remix slays! ALINA BARAZ (FEAT. KHALID) - ELECTRIC (ELECTRIC MANTIS REMIX)

Alina Baraz X Khalid is simply a dream combination, and they work soo well together in the original "Electric." But add in Electric Mantis' special breed of future electro and now we have something that's completely legendary. This track is full of juicy production chops that serves to enhance the sexy original in just about every way. The chorus sweeps us around with a combination of sounds that are metallic and driving, but not too overpowering. There's definitely still a sense of sensual melody hidden behind the beats that keeps things moody in a good way, but yet hype enough for dance floors everywhere. We're already big fans of Electric Mantis and with jams like this being regularly pumped out it's easy to see why. 

ROBOTAKI & MANILA KILLA - I WANT YOU (BRONZE WHALE REMIX)

Sup fam! As we all continue to rise in this industry of electronic music, our personal bonds and friendships mean the world to us! I've gotta say ... I'm a lucky girl to be a part of this new generation of music makers, and I love supporting all the things they do. Like Austin based duo Bronze Whale - these guys are rad and they love to give hugs so .... kinda my faves! They deliver a super delicious remix of "I Want You" by Robotaki & Manila Killa that's full of all the chill summertime future feels vibes! I love it! Get into this one kids!

MØ - NIGHTS WITH YOU (MELVV REMIX)

Oh yung Melvv - honestly every time I talk about this rising star I end up gushing .... always have since I first booked him for an LA pool party two years ago and I guess I always will. He's making big moves once again .... recently signing a big fancy record deal, and now dropping an official remix of "Nights With You" by MØ. I am so happy for Melvv ... gushing! This remix has that fun bouncy summertime vibe with super sultry vocals over future beats. Does not get much better than this! Massive love to you kido! You guys can grab a free download HERE!   

LDRU - TO BE FREE (SNBRN REMIX)

Two of my favorite people got together and made some jams! LA producer SNBRN delivers a fantastic remix of our Aussie bestie LDRU's fire track "To Be Free." SNBRN takes his smooth G-House vibe and creates a dance floor grove that will definitely get your weekend started off right! He's also just announced his After Dark Tour, and we'll be hosting the date in San Francisco on November 04 at Mezzanine. Tickets are on sale now, but they are moving fast so I would suggest swooping yours ASAP! 

[PREMIERE] BAYNK - COME HOME [W/ SHALLOU] (HAZEY EYES REMIX)

If you’re a casual listener of Spotify’s curated chill/electronic playlists, there’s a good chance you’ve heard BAYNK. The New Zealand-based producer is known for his sensual textures and layered electronic arrangements on tracks such as “What You Need” and “Poolside.” He’s also released notable remixes for artists such as gnash (“I hate u, I love u”) as well as A R I Z O N A (“I Was Wrong”). 

While I can’t say for sure, there’s a good chance that Philadelphia-based artist Hazey Eyes has been on some of the same playlists as BAYNK. They both create supremely chill, atmospheric indie electronic music and share support from some of the same industry tastemakers, namely YouTube promotional channel turned full-on record label Majestic Casual. Today marks the release of BAYNK’s official remix package for his latest single “Come Home”, a collab with Chicago-based producer/vocalist Shallou. Hazey’s take is easily the most relaxing and moody redo of the four in the pack. It’s a delicate and tranquil piece of music that might make you teary, or in my case is keeping me sane and relaxed on this Friday morning despite the mountain of work I know I have ahead of me today.
