More Australian electro pop!! Yay!! Voltaire Twins are about to release their new EP in October! Delicious! They have a single oiut now called "Animalia" that you can download HERE along with some fun little remixes. Seems like they are catching some real attention down under - just finished a Australian tour with Ladytron, and have plans to do a nation wide Austrilian tour this summer....rather....this winter....ummm summer in Australia that is!! I just love this band so much!! The Californian is just what I need tonight - fun surf pop that just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside! They play early - 9pm - which is nice because Surfer Blood is playing downstairs at the Echoplex - which makes for a very good night of music!
The Californian are about to release their new album next week called The Californian - HUGE!! Get this one, I mean it!! It's AMAZING!!

This year Art Vs Science were selected to partake in The DJ Set where they will reinterpreate Icehouse classic songs! I think this is pretty cool, and I know they consider it a great honor. 2 shows total, last night in Melbourne, tonight in Sydney! Good luck mates!

Gotye is my newest obsession from down under. Pronounced "Gaultier", this Belgum born Australian raised musicion has done the thing every musician dreams about doing - recording and producing his own record in his bedroom, releasing it independently, and then wining some of the top music awards Australia has to offfer, all on his own. Now, of course, he is a powerhouse in Australia - selling out all his shows and his video for "Somebody I Used to Know" (see below) has almost 6 million views, but he is still a bit unknown to much of the world.....but I have a feeling it wont be like that for long!
He just released his latest album in the states last month called "Making Mirrors", and it is a must have!! Thank you Australia for EXPLODING with awesome music!
I am so glad that there are radio DJ's out there that still want to play new / unknown music. I ususally listen to Aaron Axelsen's (Live 105 - San Francisco) Soundcheck on Sunday nights where he plays nothing but new and local music because, well, I like a lot of what he likes - great taste. As I am listening tonight, I hear Bag Raiders who I LOVE and I was just so excited to hear them on the radio! They are on Modular Recordings - Rad - and are another set amazing Aussie electro DJ's , and I just cant get enough of Aussie electro rockers!! mmmmmmmmmm!!
I'm back in the BAY! I love San Francisco - I would never live here but I do love to visit, and I am lucky to be able to work with some of this cities best bands! Today I will see my boys - The Hundred Days take the main stage at the Bottle Rockit Festival! 20 bucks - 20 bands - and it's at a winery - how rad is that?? This is the first year for this festival - hosted by Live 105's Aaron Axelsen! The line up is pretty great and I have a feeling I will be drunk by late afternoon off all the wine I can get my hands on! Rad! Highlights below!!!
I'm a sucker for UK bands who sound like Vampire Weekend! I have been seeing some talk around the interweb about Real Fur, and I have to say I like the vibe! This is the kind of band that I wish I could see live - because I have this feeling that their live show is lost in translation somehow after recording and pro tools gets to it. Any plans for them to come to the US - not likely - so I will have to try to catch them the next time I am in the UK. However, here is a new track! Enjoy!

Tour was amazing - it kept me busy which is why I have not been posting as of late, but now I am back home and working on the next tour - and even though there is no rest for the wicked, I will make time to update Beautiful Buzzz as much as possible!
