Goldroom wants to keep us warm this winter - that's nice of him considering he lives in LA and is most likely sitting around in flip flops with an unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt and a pair of pink sunglasses, drinking a beer on his back porch and eating tacos!  Ok, maybe he doesn't have a back porch, but there are definitely tacos!  This is a mixtape he made for this Australian tour and hidden inside are two new unreleased Goldroom remixes!  Take a load off - get yourself some Goldroom this winter!

NEW VIDEO: WILD CUB - THUNDER CLATTER

Paul McCartney said it best - "Youd think that people would have had enough of silly love songs.
But I look around me and I see it isn't so."  Wild Cub believes this as well, because their track "Thunder Clatter" is all about the love!  Today The Guardian premiered this new video, and I think that's a pretty big deal!  After listening, I feel all warm and fuzzy inside!  This is indie pop at its best, and if you are not listening to Wild Cub now, you must immediately start doing so!  Debut album Youth is out now in the US, and will be dropping in the UK on January 14.  I happen to know they will be on the best coast for some shows early next year, and will be wowing people at SXSW in March, so get on this ban wagon before you miss out - I hear they serve beer on board!

NEW MUSIC: RA RA RIOT - WHEN I DREAM

Woah!!  Ra Ra Riot have released their second single "When I Dream" from their upcoming album Beta Love which drops January 22 via Arts & Crafts!  I have to say, I am so very excited for this...the new tracks are amazing and they are accomplishing something now they have never managed to do in the past...... gain my full attention!  I have spent many years trying to love this band like so many of my friends and peers do, but it just never happened - I just never thought of them in that way.  But now, the years have gone by and I am starting to realize that I may have been wrong and I was just suppressing my feelings, when in reality I was in love all this time!  Could it still happen between us?  From what I am hearing now, Ra Ra Riot may be the love of my life!

ATLAS GENIUS ANNOUNCE US TOUR : PRE-ORDER DEBUT ALBUM

This Aussie band has certainly mad a name for themselves this year in the US!  I caught their show a few times, and it was nothing short from awesome!  Legend!  Atlas Genius has been touring the U.S. non-stop for the past four months with groups like Silversun Pickups, Wolf Gang and Animal Kingdom and will wrap up their 2012 run with a sold-out headlining show at Los Angeles' Troubadour on December 11. 

"Trojans" is the first single from the band's debut album, When It Was Now, which will be released on February 19, 2013 via Warner Bros. Records.  A pre-order for When It Was Now goes live this week at both iTunes and Amazon.  Atlas Genius wrote, recorded and produced When It Was Now themselves at a studio they built in their hometown of Adelaide, Australia.  Once their studio was built, the first song that Atlas Genius finished was "Trojans."  After spending weeks tweaking it, they put "Trojans" on SoundCloud, Spotify, iTunes and Australia's Triple J Unearthed website.

Atlas Genius will kick off a two-month US tour with Imagine Dragons on February 8 at The Marquee in Tempe, AZ. The run includes a show at New York City's Roseland Ballroom (February 23), a performance at the House of Blues in Chicago (March 4) and a night at the Wiltern in Los Angeles (March 20).  Atlas Genius will also play two shows at SXSW in Austin (March 13 & 14). NEW MUSIC: TOM ODELL - ANOTHER LOVE / SENSE DEMO

I think the piano is under rated these days!  Remember how piano rock was so cool, even as late as the 90's!  Ben Folds - come on, he is great and we all loved him....or Coldplay!  So this guy, Tom Odell, writes some pretty incredible songs and his instrument of choice is the piano!  AMAZING!  At first listen, the chills ran up and down my body..... so that's something pretty special.  This London UK native is a sweet mixture between Jeff Buckley and Chris Martin (without all the falsetto), and count me in, it's just beautiful!  Sometimes shedding the synths and dance beats that we love so much about pop, and getting down to basics, is just what the doctor ordered!  Please listen to Tom Odell's demos for "Another Love" & "Sense" - and then if you are in the UK, pick them up on iTunes! 

NEW VIDEO: HOW TO DRESS WELL - & IT WAS YOU

Last week I saw my first How To Dress Well live show - personally it was kind of a crap night, but once I got to the venue, put a drink in my hand, and listened to the sweet soulful voice of Tom Krell, all of my worries faded away and I was serenaded into joyful bliss!  Dude can sing!  The show was much more quiet than I prefer - I want volume with my live show - but man....... simply amazing!  Check out the new video from How To Dress Well for single "& It Was You"

REMIX: VACATIONER - GOOD AS NEW (GHOST BEACH REMIX)

I love everything Ghost Beach does - they are so fun and talented!  They write amazing electro pop songs, they do great remixes, and their live shows are crazy good!  I may have a soft spot in my heart for these boys, but that only means they are that much better that I can express - because I am pretty judgmental when it comes to what I think is great music, and Ghost Beach is the bees knees!  To team up with Vacationer - another one of my faves - is a fantastic treat!  Be good to your ears and listen to this remix of "Good As New" - and grab a free download!

Com Truise is legend!  What a sound!  I love hearing DJ/producers who have an original sound, once the track starts there is no question, you know its Com Truise.  He has described his sound as mid-fi synth-wave, slow-motion funk!  I am so into it!  I saw him a few months back for the first time since SXSW where he played my showcase, and it was mindblowingly good!  He has now put his spin on UK indie popers Everything Everything with this "Kemosabe" remix!  LOVE!
