What a great little vacation we had this past week!  As hard as it was to stay off the computer and smart phone - we managed to get lots of much needed rest!  Kicking off this week is something totally delicious, and we are STOKED!  Night Drive - one of our newest most favorite bands of 2013 have released their debut EP Position I.  This is 80's synth pop meets dance rock meets new wave meets indie electro perfection!  We have been going on and on about this Austin duo for the past few months and this new EP pretty much sums up why......because it's fantastic!     

If you are in the bay area you are in luck kids!  Night Drive plays Popscene this Thursday at Rickshaw Stop - I'll be there for sure!  It will be my first time seeing a live show and I have heard nothing but great things!   

COVER: FRENCH HORN REBELLION - DON'T YOU WANT ME (THE HUMAN LEAGUE COVER)

A couple weeks ago in the Hot Beat Lab: Robert's lookin' at David and says, "Man, we have been making some smokin' grooves lately, but I feel like trying something new." David looks at Robert and says, "Why don't we ask our fans to pick a song we can funkify and offer it as a free download?" -- Robert looks at David and says, "BOOM goes the dynamite!"

Fast forward to today: the French Horn Rebellion cover of "Don't You Want Me" by The Human League has its premiere on VIBE.com! The fan-requested track features vocals from David's lovely wife, Deidre Muro, of Deidre & the Dark and Savoir Adore as well as Robert's smooth French horn stylings. Stay tuned for a French-horn only version and more surprises in the coming weeks!

NEW MUSIC: SIR SLY - MIRACLE

Sir Sly has dropped a new song - "Miracle" -  the band's first new song since the release of their Gold EP in May on Cherrytree Records.  It's pretty great, I have had a soft spot in my heart for this Los Angeles based band, and looking at their upcoming tour dates it seems things are going quite well for them lately.  Headlining The Independent here in San Francisco on 10/8 - that's kinda a big deal!  Looking forward to that show for sure!  You can download "Miracle" for free HERE and check other tour dates!  

NEW VIDEO: GEMINI CLUB - SPARKLERS

This has been a really great week for music!  Lots of cool bands putting out new tracks, EPs and videos!  My babies - Gemini Club - my little angels!  The love I have for the individuals in this band is HUGE!  This year we became besties, lots of good times and lots more to come!  They have just released a new video for their electro pop hit "Sparklers" - not a happy tale, but the music is ace!  Gemini Club will soon be back in the bay area playing Beautiful Buzzz Presents show #NINE on October 12 at Neck Of The Woods!  So very excited for this!!  You can get TICKETS HERE!  Gemini Club put on a killer live show, they make brilliant magic happen!

REMIX: STEEL PHANTOMS - OVERFLOW (NIGHT DRIVE REMIX)

So many of my favorite things are all happening at once right now!  The Most Definitely, my pals and most favorite music blog/label/promoters have released a new remix into the world today!  Steel Phantoms are a couple of guys from New York who play songs, who I had the great pleasure of meeting and falling in love with this year at SXSW - they played the Beautiful Buzzz Showcase and it was awesome!  Throw in one of my most favorite new electro pop duos from Austin, Night Drive, to do a remix and BAM!!  This is good shit!

NEW VIDEO: FLUME - INSANE FT. MOON HOLIDAY

OK bay area - are you ready for this weekend?  Flume returns to San Francisco on Saturday night to pretty much blow all our minds!  He kicks of his tour in our beautiful city, and he's bringing his Infinity Prism along for the ride!  Mezzanine will be hosting the event, and yes.... it is sold out, but I saw some craigslist peeps out there with extra tickets!  I am pretty excited for this show, I have been wanting to see just how amazing this Infinity Prism is, because I hear it's pretty darn neat!    

To celebrate this new US tour, Flume has released a new video for "Insane ft. Moon Holiday" and yep, it's perfect for the song.  Watch it here, share it with friends, be that cool guy who's into rad music!  Flume rules!   

NEW VIDEO: LITTLE DAYLIGHT - GLITTER AND GOLD

This year I have had the pleasure of working with so many amazing up-and-coming bands, it's been really great!  I have watched some of them really start to make waves, and it's so exciting to be a part of it all.  Little Daylight are one of these bands - coming from playing their first live shows at SXSW this year, and one of those shows being the Beautiful Buzzz Showcase, to touring with Bastille - this band is doing it right!  Little Daylight have released a new video for single "Glitter And Gold" - it's fab!!   

NEW MUSIC: LOVELIFE - STATELESS

Lately I feel as if I have been talking about my darlings Lovelife all the time, releasing remixes and new tracks every other week - it's almost too good to be true!  I mean, I have been talking non-stop about them for well over a year because I think I might be their #1 super nerd fan, but I'm totally OK with that!  London R&B electro dance pop rockers Lovelife released a new track today called "Stateless" and again, it's fucking brilliant.  This band is going to be HUGE - you can count on that!  Hey guys - how about trying to write a bad song, because it seems to be a challenge for you!  I am sick of being bombarded by awesome Lovelife tracks , try being crap for once!    

It's only a hand full of weeks until I am reunited with my friends once again, this time in my hometown San Francisco for their show with AlunaGeorge, I expect kisses and hugs all around!  Well done gentlemen!   

NEW MUSIC: YESYOU - SO MUCH TO GIVE (FEAT. JORDAN RAKEI)

Here we are again!  Australian indie electro pop hour!  YesYou is no stranger to Beautiful Buzzz - we have been talking about this brilliant Brisbane electro pop duo since day one!  Today YesYou release a new track "So Much To Give" featuring Jordan Rakei.  Fucking fantastic!  This is just another great example of why Australian pop music is superior to all others!  Enjoy!
