FLOR - UNSAID (INSTANT KARMA REMIX)

The vibrant ladies of LA via London's Instant Karma have put out an awesome feel good record with this remix of Flor's amazing tune "Unsaid." The vibes emanating from this upbeat tune have got me smiling like a kid at the zoo. The chorus features an asian/tropical like plucked melody that works perfectly with the acoustic guitar and vocals. Well, it's definitely been a busy day for great music!  So many awesome vibes out there ... we've been having a blast all morning!  Now that it's close to the lunching hour, this is when I turn into a pumpkin and start working on my other job - talent buying (aka booking artists) for upcoming shows! This is when I like to find a bad ass mix and dive into emails, and just my luck I'm not having to go outside the BB fam for this one! Dang ok lots of music coming at ya today from BB. 2016 holy shit man it's been a great year for music so far and we're not even one month in! Grace Mitchell, the fiery young redhead from Portland, has been really quickly taking the interwebs by storm, but with pipes like that I'm not surprised! Coming off the release of the Raceday EP that has had breakout success with the single "NoLo" and a recent performance at my favorite LA radio station KCRW with the legendary Jason Bentley, she has given us a fantastic cover of Post Malone's "White Iverson." Atmospheric and groovy this cover showcases Grace's silky smooth voice. Get ready guys because Grace's rise to prominence has just begun.

THANDI PHOENIX - UNRAVELLING (PROD. ARONA MANE)

Oooh I've been looking for some sultry jams to come out and boy have I found the one. This tune from Sydney native Thandi Phoenix produced by Arona Mane is just a whole lot of good. Soulful, intelligently musical, emotional and bassy, Arona flows the beat around Thandi's incredible voice while also bringing in trumpets, upright bass and light synth work to make "Unravelling" a steamy lounge dance hit. WDL - HURRICANE HIGHLIFE FT. MAWE

OK so y'all - I am so freaking excited for this I can hardly contain myself. THIS is what my 2016 is gonna be all about!  Every year a handful of artists get under my skin and attach themselves to my soul, and WDL is going to sit at the top of that short list of brilliant music makers.  From the first time I heard WLD a few years back I knew we were meant for each other!  Yesterday he released his second track "Hurricane Highlife ft. Mawe" from forthcoming album No Wings Airline and I am more in love with WDL than I've ever been. This is sonic heaven, electronic dance pop with serious feels of epic proportions - it's so good I am sorta lost for words.  I've been lucky enough to get a preview of the new album, and it's everything ...... so guys ..... listen and love!   

INFUZE x FATHER DUDE - EASY LOVER

I think this may be the best thing I have heard all week! I mean really .... there are not too many things better than Phil Collins and his epic drum fills.  So when Infuze and Father Dude got together and produced this awesome cover of "Easy Lover" ... all that's left to do is swoon! Infuze is managed by my boyfriends over at Apex Management, so I am really surprised I haven't heard this until now, but I guess they are trying to keep the spark alive by dropping little unexpected gifts like this into my life.  Infuze x Father Dude put so much amazing future bass feels on this classic 80's jam, and topping things off with Father Dude's soulful vocals ... like I said, best thing all week! DR. FRESCH X ANDREW LUCE - HIT IT FROM THE BACK

Dude it's been such an exciting day for us at BB. Releasing the first BUZZZMIX of the year courtesy of Young Bombs, a new Penguin Prison show announcement, AND NOW that nu nu FRESCH record! Dr. Fresch and Andrew Luce have done something really unique with this track. It starts very cinematic with drum hits and string pads eventually building us into a minimal yet spicy af trap drop that straight just comes out of nowhere. At first I was listening going ok when does it fill out, but then it didn't and I was almost more satisfied that it didn't. We're brought back down into a kind of creepy sounding synthy vocal chop melody as we fall into the next drop. The second chorus is more of what I was expecting and it felt soo good. This is the first track off of the Dr.'s Pharmacy Compilation. If you haven't heard the second track "On and On" you need to, so go do it here. Still one more track to go, so we'll be sitting tight ready for the release of "Make It Drop."
