[PREMIERE] KISO - SO LONG (FEAT KAYLA DIAMOND)

Music, Original Mix, PREMIEREEricComment

It's been a minute, but we're super happy to have our boy Kiso back on our pages. In case you missed it Kiso has put together a monster year with huge number remixes on his Mike Posner cover of "I Took A Pill in Ibiza," and DJ Snake's "Middle" both featuring a singer Kayla Diamond.  Hey if you've got a good thing why change it right? So today we are super pleased to premiere a new original "So Long" with vocals from...you guessed it Kayla Diamond! I asked Kiso to give me some insight into the making of this song, "So this song started way back in May of 2015 as an Instrumental with my main guitar guy/vocal engineer Ashton Price. It took us like 3 hours to place the guitars for some odd reason and by the end of it the time was 3am. So for about a year we shopped it around to vocalists as 3am Instrumental mix. Nothing came out of it, then all of a sudden we remembered Kayla... and so we sent it to her and she had some amazing lyrics for it in like 1 hour. I honestly almost gave up on it but then Kayla killed it so we knew we had to release it ASAP" A year and one hour in the making...I think it's time listeners dive into this one. ELECTRIC TREASURE - MEMORY (CURT REYNOLDS REMIX)

Music, Original MixEricComment

Coming in hot off of a pair of breakout performances at Lollapalooza last month and Splash House this last weekend,  the homie Curt Reynolds is keeping the summer vibes alive with this smooth tropical infused remix of Electric Treasure's single "Memory." The deep tune starts mellow, as the percussion flows in with bongos, claps and shakers building into a grooving bassy chorus with light synth work accenting on top. Electric Treasure's vocals stay locked in throughout the tune as this cut flows around you like a wave. This track the perfect soundtrack for my August Monday. You can also listen to this tune of Spotify here.

SAVOIR ADORE - GIANTS (RYAN LOFTY REMIX)

Music, RemixEricComment

Whoop whoop! I've been waiting for this track from the homie Ryan Lofty to come out for a minute! Don't tell the label, but I got a little sneak peek a while back and I'm stoked to be able to share it with everybody. Ryan keeps it upbeat and feel-good on his rework of Savoir Adore's single "Giants" with some serious ear candy. Melodic arps, tropical stabs, energetic rhythm and groovy bass unite under the vocals giving us a super sweet summer jam! This one is so fun, I'm totally dancing around the office right now! You'll be able to download the whole remix pack including this remix next Friday 6/17. We'll update when a DL link is available. In the meantime you can catch Ryan spinning at the SLS in Vegas as well next Friday 6/17 with Borgore and Rezz more info here

MAGGIE LINDEMANN - THINGS (TAYLOR WISE REMIX)

Music, RemixEricComment

Taylor Wise has been on fire recently skyrocketing to the top of the hypem charts with his "Chocolate" and "September" remixes. We had the ultimate pleasuring of premiering his Smallpools "Dreaming" Remix back in February that also reached #1. Well he's back with another tropical themed rework of Maggie Lindemann's incredible single "Things." The record starts quick with bobbing synth stabs and the original's infectious background vocal arpeggio. Not really sure how to describe that vocal line but you get what I'm saying ha ha. Taylor has a wonderful way of combining the synth work into his energetic rhythm section so adeptly that it grooves smoother than silk. By the drop we're treated to a skillfully done vocal chop on top of the moving synth lines that make the record equal parts exciting yet also very relaxing. Add another great remix to his already stacked catalogue. Nab this as a free download here
