Well - I am finally back in the fold - if you have been following BB you know we just threw a HUGE party at SXSW and .... I have been laying low trying to recover. We definitely won SX .... that was nuts!  These legends were headliners on one of our days at SXSW last year, and I'm finally coming back to blogging life with their delicious single "Slow Down Love ft. Chelsea Cutler." Louis The Child released their new Love Is Alive EP last week, and it's packed full of luscious sounds that give me all the feels - I love these boys! INFUZE - HYPERLOOP

Debuting "Hyperloop" as the first release on his new label Untouchables, Infuze constructs a track around a analog modular synth rig with the express intent of performing the track live. The power and swift pace of the track will undoubtedly drive a huge energy through the crowd and undoubtedly make for a pleasantly interactive live element. PURPORANGEJUICE - LOTUS

With a name like Purporangejuice, it’s gotta be good right? It sounds like a beverage concoction I would have made in the 8th grade cafeteria, but he’s really an impressively skilled producer making downtempo experimental future electronic music. This unique instrumental track “Lotus” is his debut, released via forward-thinking label Warpaint Records, which has quickly become known for uniquely talented artists in the electronic space regardless of their “genre.” 

Reminiscent of such virtuosic producers such as Mura Masa, Tennyson, or Electric Mantis, Purporangejuice’s “Lotus” is a chill journey through an array of iridescent synths, contemplative beats, and otherworldly sonics. One could liken it to floating through an interplanetary rainforest, which if you ask me is pretty freakin’ cool.

PHIL GOOD - SLEEPING IN (SEAN TURK REMIX)

We're big fans of Sean Turk over here at BB. Our boss lady has even gone so far as to say that he's better than tacos. Certainly debatable because...tacos! But when he keeps putting out consistently great quality tracks, like this remix of Phil Good's debut "Sleeping In", it's not hard to see why that claim could be made.

The original's hook "We're always sleeping in" is a next-level ear-worm which has been playing in my head since it came out. Turk's adaptation bumps up the tempo a notch and throws in some super vibey future synths, snappy hi-hats, and the kind of percussion that makes you want to get up and dance like one of those kids in those ridiculous meme videos you see going viral on Facebook. BRANDYN BURNETTE - CLOSER (SEAN TURK REMIX)

When I pulled up Sean Turk's facebook info page - I chuckled at the lovely quotes from other music publications about his music, and I thought about how I am never quoted. But I mean, let's face it .... I am not a good writer. I never know what to say and definitely don't get very deep - I really just want you to listen to the music. BTW - I am brilliant a picking great music so I don't feel bad for being a terrible writer. I wanted to see if I could come up with something clever enough to be quoted tho ... so I'll give it my best! This new Sean Turk remix of "Closer" by Brandyn Burnette is better than tacos! KASKADE & FELIX CARTAL - FAKIN IT FT. OFELIA K (HOTEL GARUDA REMIX)

Boom! One day early release on this one for our dudes Hotel Garuda! I'm psyched for this because I'm pretty sure the original was first up on Soundcloud as a preview only, so I didn't have a chance to post it even tho I loved the track. Of course Hotel Garuda crushed this remix of "Fakin It ft. Ofelia K" by Kaskade & Felix Cartal, they crush all things. This one is bring all the warm summertime feels .... love it!   Can't wait to hear this in the club!

OLIVER TREE - SOULMOTHER, I LOVE YOU (FT. GETTER)

Who's Oliver Tree? I think that's what I'll be hearing in the weeks to come after this post. We're just meeting him too, but I think everyone will be enjoying all the music to come from this young Los Angeles artist! When my favorite person on the planet and personal hero passed me this track, I was psyched! option4 has been supporting me since that blissful day we were introduced years ago, he's always got my back, and sameies on my end! On this new track he teams up with my girl ill-esha who I met at SXSW this year when she CRUSHED her set at my party! Good people always find each other, and these two managed to hook up and produce a seamlessly perfect track - mixing that sexy deep house option4 sound with ill-isha's future feels and flawless vocals! Ugh - my friends rule! Get into this one kids!  

JERRY FOLK - TAKE THREE

Jerry folk is bae - like ... we brunch and stuff. This young Norwegian producer is full of surprises, and every new track he puts out is something new and brilliant for the world to enjoy. "Take Three" is like sonic heaven, with draggy beats over synthed out glitchy melodies I am pretty much addicted! Now living in Los Angeles, Jerry Folk is about to start his first US tour in a few weeks, and we are psyched to see him in San Francisco once again!
