SMALLTALK - YOUNG

A few months ago, we introduced you to smalltalk, the LA/SF based duo consisting of Peter Fenn and Parker Livingston who make vibey electro-tinged indie soul music. Their sophomore single as smalltalk, “Young”, starts with Fenn’s chopped up raspy vocal over gentle synths then slowly builds with the addition of a hip-hop inspired beat. More calming melodic production enters the frame as the hooks start to leak out from Fenn’s cheeky voice box. “Young, young, we were too young” and “all I do is think about it” will burrow into your head by the end of the song. Just listen to this one a few times through, and trust me, you’ll be tapping your toes and singing along without even realizing it.

Wow wow wow! This Australian duo creates their own mixture of indie disco dance with future feels and electro house vibes ... it does not get much better than this! BRONZE WHALE - WARM (LMBO REMIX)

Michigan natives, Michael Swartz and Koby Berman, decided soon after their high school years to join forces and start the duo LMBO. Since they both grew up as classically trained multi-instrumentalists, it made since to pull from each other's strengths, which ultimately lead to sparkling productions full of unique soundscapes and impeccable writing. After their second successful release of "Dysphoria," the guys decided to push the boundaries even further with a remix for our friends over at Bronze Whale. Being that the LMBO guys always aim to create something meaningful and lasting, they turned the gentle original into a cinematic, experimental chill trap masterpiece. By strategically chopping up the vocal from Benny and sprinkling it throughout while adding gritty percussion and whimsical atmospherics the duo truly reimagines the track and ensures it's the next to grace your playlists. 

K?D - A.I.

Hold on to your hats y'all - this new K?d track is fucking fierce! As if we didn't already know ... but come on yo! The phrase "going in" is what instantly comes to mind. Our yung friend delivers a fantastic ominous track with all the dark electro vibes you could ever need.  Once again K?d sets the bar with "A.I." and I don't see things slowing down. KHALID & NORMANI - LOVE LIES (MEDASIN REMIX)

Medasin, bruh, no one's sick anymore - you gave 'em the medicine with this beat. This brand new remix of "Love Lies" by Khalid & Normani from ALT:Vision producer, Medasin, is nothing short of a cure. Steadily-rising young artist ye. has already bestowed us with two singles off of his anticipated EP. Recently, the NY-based producer finally unveiled 'Trails,' an 8-track EP, in it's entirety. While each and every track on the project retains such divergent qualities, we decided to highlight one of our top picks, "Alright Alone," and leave the rest for you to explore. Ethereal and floaty waves shape ye.'s recently-renovated sound and become the theme of the collaboration with singer/songwriter Josh Jacobson. Heavy influences from artists such as ODESZA, Slow Magic, and Petit Biscuit can all be heard within the synth work as it seamlessly intertwines with Josh's silvery vocals. As a whole, the EP delivers a style that is simply refreshing, and will assuredly have you hitting 'play' over and over.

UNLIKE PLUTO - LATE BLOOMER

Atlanta-native and currently LA-based artist Unlike Pluto has entered the spotlight with his pop-rock, grungy new single “Late Bloomer.” What makes this release so unique is that it is actually a 2-sided track, with another track titled “I Tried Getting High” that exhibits just the same wonderful qualities as his title song. But what also makes his latest so unique is that it is Unlike Pluto's own vocal talents that are on full display, despite his chronic nasal issues. After one listen, you can’t really help but wonder “how much better could his voice get without that set back, and why haven't we been seeing this incredible talent more often?”

That talent only affirms this guy’s creative versatility. Not only does he have a striking vox, but he also happens to be quite the skilled producer- for those who are unfamiliar with his previous works. “Late Bloomer” lays down proof of this through the multi-gifted artist’s clean, crisp and innovative production. Comprising a classical background in piano, which he picked up at the age of 5, drums and clarinet, plus an insatiable passion for electronic music, he has been able to find the quintessential middle ground that defines his musical brand, of which is exposed through these two flawless releases.
