Our homie Pat Lok never disappoints - he manages to deliver nothing but super sweet disco fabulous tracks all the time to brighten up our days! His latest remix of "Stonecold ft. Sacha Vee" by Wantigga is a smooth sounding deep disco pop house groove that has got us feeling some kind of way! However, what I am most excited about is that Pat Lok has been added to our Le Youth show next weekend in San Francisco! He'll be throwing hot tracks along with Ghosts Of Venice and Futurewife for a fun filled night of total bootay shakin' dance moves! Psyched! [PREMIERE] SLUSHII - TO SAY GOODBYE

When Slushii's name first came across my desk as one of the "hot new up-and-coming artist who's gonna crush," my first reaction was to his name. I'm a huge fan of any kind of cold icy drinks, and I immediately wanted to run to the 7 Eleven for a Slurpee. It's hard to believe I am considered a tastemaker in the music industry because this is how I actually think!  I digress, that little tip about Slushii crushing was correct, because this past year we have seen him go from 0 to 100 in 2.5 seconds! Slushii may be a new name, but the man himself is not new to the game - having been making music for years under different monikers - this is the one that hit! Our next premiere "To Say Goodbye" is the latest original track from this suave EDM producer and it's 100% delicious! Filled with that bouncy jersey/trap style, this one hits every level of coolness with animated future beats and playful sweet-sounding vocals by Slushii himself! GRIZ - PS GFY (FT. CHERUB)

As if things could not get better concerning this record that's about to drop - today Detroit funk lord GRiZ gives us this one ... and I'm swooning! We've had some epic times with the Cherub boys - they've even randomly showed up to my parties and asked if they could do a DJ set. I can only imagine what it would be like having GRiZ and Cherub on the same stage -- and this new single "PS GFY" is everything you would expect from this pairing. The funk runs deep with this one ... it's going to be an epic dance party gem. 

Speaking of a dance party - we're going to be with the GRiZ fam in San Francisco for the Funksgiving party at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on November 26. The lineup for this night is bananas with Lettuce, Haywire and Brasstracks - I am going to shake my bootay alllll night, you should too! CHARLIE PUTH - WE DON'T TALK ANYMORE (AYTAC KART REMIX)

Istanbul based producer Aytac Kart has a talent for mixing vocals in an exciting way and that is definitely my favorite thing about his remix of this pop hit. The song opens with Charlie Puth’s usual high breathy tones with light synth and drum backing, it slowly builds up till Aytac let’s it drop. The drop in this track takes a full 180 degree turn and get bassy, he takes Puth’s vocal line and fits in it with the bass, the contrast is perfect. This remix is an awesome groovy, chill house track that I can’t stop listening to.

It's hard to believe this is our first Oliver Nelson premiere! Over the past few years I've become pretty close with this whole team of legends (artist and management) - we've had some laughs to be sure! The love between Oliver Nelson and myself is pretty special - when we are together it's tons of giggles, hours of talk about music and life, all the things besties do except we only see eachother a few times a year. So this next premiere is another first for me and my Swedish disco angel, and he's coming at us with all the funky dance grooves! "Ain't A Thing ft. Kaleem Taylor" is classic Oliver Nelson, clean and crisp disco house that has an infectious beat and thick soulful vocals - just try not to shake your booty! It's been a wild Tuesday morning - I'm always surprised how intense running this blog can be ... I mean it's just a boutique electronic music blog where only a few posts a day go up! Let me tell you tho ... shit can get real and the battle for posts is fierce.
