In Baseball terms, a heater is described as the fastest pitch that a pitcher has to offer. A fastball so fast that the batter cannot catch up, it is a heater. Flume has just released “Heater” and we were definitely blown away at how good this song is. We cannot keep up with it, it is way too fast, we have to put it on replay just so that we know what epicness we just listened to. This is definitely Flume’s best pitch he has to offer right now and I would not be surprised if “Heater" climbs up the charts just as fast as this song hit us. The bass is so heavy and the synth waves are so distinct that you cannot help but turn your head to catch your breath as the “Heater” is upon you taking your breath away. Flume, you are now officially our Ace in the Hole, our MVP, “Heater” is striking us as the next great track and all we can do is congratulate Flume for this epic home run of a song. Step up to the plate if you dare and listen to “Heater” by Flume.

KSHMR - CREEP (RADIOHEAD COVER)
Music, CoverComment"Creep” is a classic 90’s song from Radiohead that spoke about all the imperfections we have as humans and how we wish we can change them. The mood of the classic song is depressing to say the least, which is why we have to truly admire KSHMR for having the ability to turn this trackinto an upbeat, fun song. KSHMR does a phenomenal job in the musical variety. The beginning of the song starts with a ukulele that makes you think it will keep the island vibe, but then we hear an electric guitar come in pretty strong. Now we are led to believe that it has the ability to be an alternative song. KSHMR dupes us again and brings on some synthesizers with a hip-hop beat to make you dance to “Creep (cover)”. Astounding the abilities KSHMR poses to twist and manipulate such a song to whatever genre it pleases. It is a journey of multiple paths that KSHMR does not allow you to truly hold onto by changing it so often but in the end, we are thankful for such a magnificent, surreal path.
MILKY CHANCE - COCOON
Music, Original MixCommentMilky Chance is sure taking the Indie world by storm lately and they really feel like they are about to blossom into the spotlight. You may think that this was a very clever metaphor, yes, you’re right. Milky Chance has just released their newest hit “Cocoon” and it is already catching fire. “Cocoon” can be seen as their track that can propel them to stardom as a caterpillar breaks free from their Cocoon to blossom into a breathtakingly beautiful butterfly. They are very musically talented and we know that Milky Chance can really rock harder than most, but we see them step outside their alternative niche and take Indie by storm with good ol’ acoustics and harmonies. They keep it simple with the rhythmic guitar chord and a simple drum step to reel us in. The guitar playing is plucked beautifully to accent the soul of the music. You can swoop his track HERE!
THE CHAINSMOKERS - ALL WE KNOW FT. PHOEBE RYAN (SAID THE SKY REMIX)
Music, RemixCommentSaid The Sky has done it again! The Denver-based producer has just blessed us with his rework of The Chainsmokers' "All We Know" and to call it a must-hear would be an understatement. Recognizably Said The Sky in style, the remix is melodic, bubbly and feel good all the way through. Having just released a couple of mega-collaborations with 3LAU, Seven Lions and Illenium, all eyes have been on the rising producer to follow up with a great tune - and this one has more than exceeded my expectations. Grab a free download HERE and show your friends, they deserve the midweek pick-me-up.
KICK THE HABIT - ALONE
Music, Original MixCommentAll it takes is one riff to get you hooked and propel a song to become a timeless classic. Think of great bands of the past and today, great riffs paved the way for them to become stars in their own right. For example:Led Zeppelin’s iconic riff in Whole Lotta Love, Jimi Hendrix with Purple Haze, or current bands like Arctic Monkeys with Do I Wanna Know and The Strokes with Reptilia. The newest band on the horizon is Kick The Habit releasing their newest hit single “Alone”, which you may not be surprised when I say, has an extremely catchy riff. “Alone” dips in very different genres from Alternative Indie to Electronica and I have to say that I am all for it. You get the best of both worlds even if you never even been to the other world because Kick The Habit blends both genres so well.
FANCY CARS - SET ME ON FIRE FT. BRANDON HALL
Music, Original MixCommentOh Fancy Cars, you stand alone at the peak of the highest mountain with “Set Me On Fire”. Lyrics like “My heart is immortal/my body a flower in snow” just goes to show us Fancy Cars only makes music that is like no other and that can stand the test of time. Beautiful lyrics paired with the impeccable voice of Brandon Hall, we see “Set Me On Fire” stay true to future bass yet stand to dive into Indie Pop, which I feel is a perfect mix to utilize the great talent of Brandon Hall. I sure hope this is a pair that will continue to collaborate in the future.
SOLARSUIT - JUST FOR THE THRILL
Music, Original Mix2 CommentsChristopher Walken provided such an iconic moment portraying Bruce Dickinson during a skit in Saturday Night Live with just 5 words: I gotta have more cowbell! I want it to be widely-known today that I am proclaiming “I gotta have more keyboards!” Solarsuit is newest band that coming in with full steam as they have the makings of the next great band. One, of course, is being that they have a keyboardist that really knows how to wail on the keyboard. Two, their newest track “Just for the Thrills” just came out just days ago and it really rocks on. It is a modernized “New Wave” sound that is surely to change the music scene with their range of instruments and vocals.
