EMBER ISLAND - UMBRELLA (THE WHITE PANDA REMIX)

The White Panda has been busy! Over the past month they have dropped 3 really great remixes that have shown us a fresh new side to this dynamic duo. Combining that great White Panda party sound with future bass vibes, they flip Ember Islands cover of "Umbrella" into a massive dance floor hit!  These vocals tho .... so awesome!  I can't wait to check out their upcoming show in San Francisco next weekend - they'll be playing at Mezzanine on Sept. 30 so if your in the bay area you need to come out and do some dancin! EMBER ISLAND X RADIOHEAD - CREEP (THOREAU REMIX)

Well these are three names I'm definitely excited to see together. Thoreau has been developing his own brand of guitar laden future bass that fits perfectly underneath Ember Island's incredibly juicy cover of Radiohead's classic "Creep." The beginning of this remix is hauntingly beautiful and melodic eventually building toward a rawkus breakdown of bright melodies and a sporadic dubby wobble. The real bliss in this remix however I think is the way Harry aka Thoreau has layered the breakdowns. The second verse is mysterious and longing with a hidden intensity to it eventually taking us to a thoroughly exciting finale full of fantastic electric guitar. With Halloween right around the corner you couldn't ask for a better tune to get us in the mood. You can download this for free right here.

EMBER ISLAND - NEED YOU (CLOUDCHORD REMIX)

Well I'm back in the swing of things still missing/remembering/recovering from the epic week we had in Austin at SXSW. To my delight Austin's Cloudchord, who graciously performed an incredible set on our stage Friday night with booming thunderclouds over head, sent over this epic remix of Ember Island's voluptuous single "Need You." Cloudchord delivers a beautifully melodic rendition of the track involving his signature guitar and pumping bass lines that envelope Ember Island's chilled out vocals. Just loving this tune. Guys! Our Illenium + Said The Sky show in San Francisco on May 14 is almost sold out! These tickets went so fast! I'd definitely swoop them now before they are gone! 

Illenium is pretty much everything right now!  A few weeks back he released his full length album Ashes which is packed full of the most dreamy future feels anyone could ever ask for! He's also announced a big spring tour which is selling like crazy - and we are psyched to be a part of it all! Today Illenium offers up his Top 5 Summer Jams for us to vibe out with! 

Ember Island - Need You (Gill Chang Remix) 
Ember Island is one of my favorite vocal groups right now.  The vocalist is like a mix of Ellie Goulding and Purity Ring and Gill Chang absolutely crushed this remix.  Love the intricacy and vibe.

Mako - Way Back Home
This has been on repeat for the past 2 months.  Mako is so awesome at creating an intense and organic atmosphere and these vocals and harmonies are absolutely perfect

Mitis - Foundations ft. Adara
Mitis has been a favorite of mine for a while now and this new original stands out to me as one of his best tracks.  The intro and vocal bring me in immediately and the drop is super unique.

Evangeline - My Kingdom (William Black Remix) 
Will Black is on the come up and has been putting out super solid remixes recently.  I love the groove on this one and the vocal chop is money.  Some of his unreleased stuff is amazing too. Definitely check him out.

Tommy Trash - Luv U Giv (NGHTMRE Remix)  
NGHTMRE is one of the most consistent producers I know and this remix is so sick.  I love the old school vocal vibe mixed with his future bass sounds.  Always love hearing his new tunes.

JACK Ü X EMBER ISLAND - WHERE ARE Ü NOW (LIONE REMIX)

Brand spankin' new artist alert! We get a lot of emails, but we try to open every email and listen to as much as we can in the hopes of discovering a gem like this. It's our pleasure to introduce to you LIONE. This is not the first Ember Island cover remix that has graced our pages, but when a couple of great accapellas get put up on SoundCloud like Ember Island has done, all the producers start lickin' their chops (AWESOME SINGERS TAKE NOTE). This is great exposure for the covering artist and bravo to LIONE for whipping up this fantastic remix. This is music industry collaboration at its finest my friends, and ooooohhhh it's fantastic. 

EMBER ISLAND - I CAN'T FEEL MY FACE (GRYN FEELS REMIX)

GRYN is back with a new smooth gem. While "I Can't Feel My Face" by The Weeknd a) might be a little overplayed right meow, but b) is still a total jam. Ember Island takes a beautiful approach to covering this track check it out here and then the GRYN boys do their thing with it. Wonderfully smooth to its core, GRYN bumps the dance factor but for the most part keeps it relaxed. This track makes me feel like an early morning walk along the beach in an exotic tropical paradise. Feels Remix is right on.

[PREMIERE] EMBER ISLAND - WHERE ARE Ω NOW (GHOSTS REMIX)

In my opinion, so far "Where Are Ω Now" is the best track of the year. Skrillex and Diplo crushed, and ended up turning me into a Belieber ... for real! So, when I heard this version from our homies GHOSTS I did a little happy dance ...... because it's brilliant! GHOSTS are no strangers around these parts, we have talked about a number of their tracks in the past - but when this hit my inbox it was pure joy! They used the Ember Island cover instead of the original ... it's so beautiful ... I must have already listened to it 100 times! GHOSTS seem to have a careful elegance around everything they produce ... well done! You can grab this track as a free download HERE!
