Seriously tho - Brasstracks are untouchable.  It's not very often that we cover EP's - we like to focus on one track at a time .... but this new EP from our dynamic duo loves is just so fucking good .... I just can't not NOT talk abut the whole damn thing! For Those Who Know Pt. I is sonic heaven. Mixing Funk, Jazz, Hip-hop, Dance, Electronic, R&B, Future, Pop, and all the other rad feels you can think of - this EP is pure fire! We keep blasting it in the office/club here at Mezzanine, and I'm working hard on getting them on their first Beautiful Buzzz show! The two tracks I chose to feature are "Improve #1 (Intro) ft. The Underachievers & Robert Glasper" and "Opposite Ways ft. This year at SXSW, when I got to my AirBNB these two little angels were crashed out on my floor - and Lil Aaron didn't have a blanket or pillow or anything! I said, "Lil Aaron that's not right, damn" and I grabbed the comforter and a pillow from my bed and hooked it up! What a great week tho, seeing Y2K and Lil Aaron bounce in and out of my venue, as well as deliver a siiick set! I love these boys!! Has everyone recovered from their weekend adventures? Not sure about y'all .... but I went a little ham with my besties for a single ladies Valentine's Day celebration that is definitely one for the books! So, as we get into our Monday and kick off this next week - how about a premiere from fresh young producer Vasta? He caught our ear last year with some pretty great remixes, and today he releases a yummy version of "Exchange" by Bryson Tiller. Vasta has flipped this sexy soulful hip-hop track into a deep house dance floor gem, and we are loving it!
