So, I'm having one of those weeks - the kind when you just want to go home and get into bed - putting all your frustrations and mistakes behind the negative vibe ... because tomorrow is another day! Good thing my friend Illenium slid into my DMs with his new track "Fractures ft. Nevve" - it's been a bright spot within this gloomy rainy week. As usual Illenium brings all the sweetness with his signature melodic trap sound - his future feels are on point, and this lively new track is giving me the warm and fuzzies. Delicious! In what I’m dubbing the collab of the fall (and quite possibly, the year), Beautiful Buzzz favorites Illenium and Said The Sky have teamed up with melodic OG Seven Lions to bring us their brand new single, “Rush Over Me”. With the ever-angelic Haliene on vocals, the track is truly an emotional journey that somehow managed to exceed all of my expectations. FLUME - SAY IT FT. TOVE LO (ILLENIUM REMIX)

I've been going through some pretty tough times lately with my Mom battling cancer - right now she needs 24 hour care, and she is a trooper man .... she's tough. Me, I'm not so tough all the time, and watching her go through this is agony. I turn to music to get through every day - it helps me deal with all the emotions one goes through when watching a loved one endure such a awful disease. If you know anything about me, you know Flume is my world, and my homie Illenium just dropped the most therapeutic remix of "Say It ft. Tove Lo" which happens to be my favorite track from Skin. Not shy to admit this .. but I just burst into tears listening to this one ... it's perfect.  It makes me so happy to see an artist like Illenium who we've adamantly supported do such big things - and I feel like I really needed that release. I'm seeing Flume in a few weeks, and I'm sure I'm going to be a mess there as well!  Haha! Illenium crushed this! So proud!

When you open a PR email and they tell you someone told them I was a huge Illenium fan - at least I know people are are telling truths about me! I can't hide it - I am a big nerdy Illenium fan!  I have been known to send messages to him in the dark hours while being slightly intoxicated ... but we were in the same city and I was looking for him! That was our show in SF last month that we SOLD OUT .... but then I also had a sunset boat party that day so I missed Illenium. He sold out almost all this shows on his last tour ... pretty impressive! Now young Virtu, a delicious producer from Los Angeles, has put his spin on "Sleepwalker" by Illenium .... and it's totally futurific. SO many feels here kids .... I'm swooning again! Ember Island - Need You (Gill Chang Remix) 
Ember Island is one of my favorite vocal groups right now.  The vocalist is like a mix of Ellie Goulding and Purity Ring and Gill Chang absolutely crushed this remix.  Love the intricacy and vibe.

Mako - Way Back Home
This has been on repeat for the past 2 months.  Mako is so awesome at creating an intense and organic atmosphere and these vocals and harmonies are absolutely perfect

Mitis - Foundations ft. Adara
Mitis has been a favorite of mine for a while now and this new original stands out to me as one of his best tracks.  The intro and vocal bring me in immediately and the drop is super unique.

Evangeline - My Kingdom (William Black Remix) 
Will Black is on the come up and has been putting out super solid remixes recently.  I love the groove on this one and the vocal chop is money.  Some of his unreleased stuff is amazing too. Definitely check him out.

Tommy Trash - Luv U Giv (NGHTMRE Remix)  
NGHTMRE is one of the most consistent producers I know and this remix is so sick.  I love the old school vocal vibe mixed with his future bass sounds.  Always love hearing his new tunes.

This show tho - is like a dream come true! Two of our most favorite producers making the most beautiful chill music are together for a magical night in San Francisco, and we get to be a part of it! We are so happy to welcome Illenium and Said The Sky on May 14 at Slim's! Pretty sure I am going to swoon multiple times throughout this night! Both artists have been featured on BB a number of times, and now they are officially part of the fam! We can't get enough of their sweet electro future soul sounds ... so excited for this! Tickets are currently on sale - and this show is all ages so we definitely think they'll go fast!

I think everything he's done in the past few years has been nothing short from brilliant - his songs are so lush and dreamy, I can listen to his originals and remixes on repeat for days!  Today Illenium drops his debut full length album Ashes and we are gushing! With a combination of indie dance, electro pop, future beats and soulful R&B vibes, each track is a little piece of heaven. It's pretty rare that we feature an album, but this one is special and we think everyone should know about this masterpiece! The last 7 days have been rough for your girl because of life .... the biggest struggle has been finding time .... and let's be real, there is so much amazing music dropping every day that Eric and I have been finding it hard to keep up! That being said - on this Saturday afternoon I am going to try to get to all the things from our homies that we were not able to talk about, starting with this gorgeous track riiiight here!  I've been nerding out over Illenium a whole bunch lately, and his latest original "Fortress ft. Joni Fatora" is awesome!  He nails that larger than life synthed out future sound better than most, with huge beats under light airy vocals - it's so fucking epic! He's definitely becoming one of my top artists of 2016 already ... the BB crush has officially started!
