KNGDAVD - YOU NEVER KNOW

It's been a minute, but KNGDAVD is back with a new tune! The duo lit it up with their last couple singles "Medicine" and "Shame" and now connect again with this new single "You Never Know." The lyrics talk about sinking into decisions that you might later regret "You Never Know" preaching to "don't count your chickens before they hatch." A great phrase my parents used to tell me all the time haha and truthfully is sage advice. The record features a haunting guitar line that evolves into light pads upon sprightly hip hop oriented percussion. The beat is droning and melancholy which simply adds to the spice of the tune.

TYE JAMES - LIES

This latest tune from Tye James ( ½ of KNGDAVD check out their tune "Poppies" if you haven't heard it yet) "Lies" is a deeply personal tune that definitely showcases his vocal prowess. The tremolo guitar and drum sticks comprise the simplistically somber instrumental leaving plenty of room for Tye to make his mark. His piercing full voice easily slides up into falsetto and back down for his vocal improvisations. The lyrics talk about the heady contradictions that have forced him to confront reconciling his spiritual beliefs with the true desires of his heart. A struggle that all too many deal with daily. KNGDAVD - POPPIES

Newcomers KNGDAVD comprised of singer Tye James and multi-instrumentalist and producer Jon Buscema met at the University of the Arts in Philly. Considering themselves Jazz rejects they joined forces to eventually create KNGDAVD. Forget jazz! Tye and Jon are owning a superb blend of blues, rock and pop in a way that's gritty, fun and suppperrr catchy. "Poppies" is an instant ear pleaser the second you hit play with a vocal falsetto and distorted synth like guitar leading us into a verse and chorus that grab you and won't let go. Now located in NYC and with a hypem #1 already to their credit for "Say My Name," this duo sounds like they're primed and ready for a national presence. If this is your first time hearing these guys I'm happy to say "Poppies" is one hell of an introduction.
