What better way to celebrate Halloween than with a Masquerade Ball dance party? We are so excited for this next one kids … because dressing up is everything. On Friday, October 25 we are turning Mezzanine into a full-on ballroom so we can dance the night away. All costumes welcome and encouraged! We’ve also invited a few pretty great producers to come and play their jams … and with The Magician and Touch Sensitive topping off this event you know its going to be one funky deep house disco party for the books. [PREMIERE] JACKLNDN - GONE

jackLNDN is no stranger to our pages! We’ve been supporting this legend since he was a wee lad still making beats from his parents basement in the UK. After many years of rad releases, about a dozen shows, a move to the USA, and all around general hangs …. you could say he’s one of our besties! We are VERY excited for this next premiere of “Gone” by jackLNDN which will be included on his first full-length album THOUGHTS out AUG 16. This new track has all that deep house goodness that only Jack can vibe, but this time he’s tackling the “darker side of loneliness; when the mind is such a mess, that numbing it seems is the only way to cope.” With shadowy melodies under deep house beats and dulcet vocals, we get all the feels. LA FELIX - REAL THING (FEAT. BECCA KRUEGER)

La Felix is a New Zealand-based producer championing contemporary disco. Inspired by French house and old-school funk, the pioneer of groove weaves vintage licks with a futuristic resonance. His latest joint, “Real Thing” a downtempo house cut anchored by kitschy guitar plucks and crystal cool vocals from Becca Krueger. A marriage between indie electronic music and nu-disco, “Real Things” is a funky summer-time vibe doused in an electrifying kind of optimism. Tune in!

SIDIZEN KING X THE STRIKE - EYE FOR AN EYE

Well this is an absolute treat of a new record from SIDIZEN KING and The Strike. I'm a huge fan of hip-hop, electronic pop crossovers and the dance-ability of this record simply pushes it into overdrive. KING's verses just go down with ease and the chorus vocals courtesy of The Strike's frontman Chris Crabb inspire some definite Michael Jackson comparisons. Lyrically KING states that his verses come from a dark place, a "toxic relationship that felt like perpetual war." However the upbeat energetic nature of the instrumental allows the track to still beam like a light. Relative newcomer SIDIZEN KING already has a hype machine #1 for a cool cover of The Chainsmoker's "Don't Let Me Down" and we have high aspirations for this one. Better hop on this bandwagon now, because it's definitely picking up steam. You can also nab this as a free download here.  

[PREMIERE] MAHALO - CATCH MY EYE + HEARTBEAT EP

Well we've seen Mahalo making big strides in the last year, grinding putting out a lot of tracks, really finding the flavor of his nu-disco influenced house. Happy to say we've been on this train since the first stop. Today I have the pleasure of premiering Mahalo's latest "Catch My Eye." The track has bits of tropical themed influences, but with a distinctly nu-disco flare. It's repping flanging guitar, 80's-esque breaks, pads and drumming all wrapped up with the soulful vocals that totally caught our ears. "Catch My Eye" comes as the second single off of his 'Heartbeat EP' courtesy of the UK's Sleazy Deep label. The EP features another amazing single "Heartbeat" I had to throw in to this post as well, along with Rob Made's sexy remix of "Heartbeat" and Mutiny UK's Bongoloid Dub rework of "Catch My Eye." [PREMIERE] TRACE - HONEY (MAHALO REMIX)

Well here's a combination that makes us at BB happy to hear! We've been avid supporters of Mahalo and his spicy nu-disco vibes, and we've quickly jumped on the bandwagon of Trace with her heavenly voiced emotional records. With a combo like this you can't lose! Mahalo has taken the slow but beautiful "Honey" and amped it up for the dance floors, putting an almost trancelike rework to the tune. We hear rumors of lots more "Honey" remixes on the way, but for now we can enjoy this new rendition. Mahalo has also offered us a limited free download so snag that here!

MORGAN PAGE FT. ANGELIKA VEE - SAFE TILL TOMORROW (BEE'S KNEES REMIX)

The Bee's Knees boys are big on hugs - and it's a good thing because I have been known to give one or two pretty great hugs, so when we're together we do a whole bunch of hugging! And why not, everyone loves hugs! This new remix of "Safe Till Tomorrow ft. Angelika Vee" by Morgan Page makes me want to hug everyone with it's juicy disco beats and deep danceable groove ... feeling this one! When I think about the Perfect Havoc dudes it's hard not to smile - my homies are some pretty amazing characters, and their little collective is nothing but delicious disco vibes! Perfect Havoc is a label, management agency and club night out of London, and they're throwing their next party that promises to be a rager!  Perfect Havoc Disco returns for a bank holiday shindig on  April 30 at Brixton Jamm featuring My Digital Enemy, Digital Farm Animals, Oliver Nelson,   Tobtok, Televisor, Keljet, Skogsrå and Adam Griffin.
