LE YOUTH - IF YOU'RE LEAVING (FEAT. SYDNIE)

Oh man I'm totally feeling this amazing new jam from our BB fave Le Youth. He's taken his sexy 90's dance pop flare to create a chilled out groover of a record that's a perfect for this winter weather. The piano lead tune takes full advantage of Sydnie's calming voice and lyrical re-assurance that "you'll be coming back home to me". The subtle vox chops complement the mesmerizing nature of the instrumental that combines into a really feel good tune. This is the second release on his new Homewerk imprint and is an amazing follow up to his chart topper "Me Without You." We also heard the remix EP is dropping tomorrow with cuts from BitFunk, Futurewife, No Way Back and Love N Lerrone. PANG! - CIGARETTE FEAT. CAMERON DOUGLAS

PANG! is somehow a group that wasn't on my radar. I got an email regarding this new single, and I instantly had to do some research. While this Swedish duo has remained in relative ambiguity, they've put up some insane numbers on Spotify with "Walking in the Sun" raking up 23 million streams and 524,329 monthly listeners. Their newest is a rework of a song they found through an online video posted from the featured vocalist Cameron Douglas. "Cigarette" is a joy to listen to with beautiful acoustic guitar work, folksy style vocals and tropical bells and xylophones. This song is a chilled out delight and is mellowing out my hump day. MATT DIMONA - MALIBUU (FEAT. LANI RENALDO) + UP ALL NIGHT EP

Matt DiMona is the man! Erin and I had such a good time hanging with him at our show when he opened for Goldroom last April. He told us about this EP being in the works back then, and damn are we stoked that it's arrival is finally here! I really like the whole 'Up All Night' EP especially "Touch" and "The Universe We Dreamt," but I've chosen "Malibuu (feat. Lani Renaldo)" as the one to support mainly due to it's more mainstream pop appeal. Not to mention all the Cali references : ). The song is simple and refined. It doesn't reach too far outside of the box mainly relying on the background pads and comforting vocal performances by Matt and Lani to lead the way. There are splashes of rising arps and other sounds that help accent the endearing nature of the track. JORDAN RAKEI - TALK TO ME

I love discovering tracks like this. We cover a lot of electronic music at BB, but first and foremost we strive to cover good music, and damn we have a golden beam of musical bliss right here from Jordan Rakei. If you're not familiar with him yet you might know him from his work with Disclosure on "Masterpiece." Where do I start, the beginning is somewhat simplistic with ambient textures of jazz piano puffing billows of sound around the enthusiastic percussion and droning bass. As Jordan's mellifluous vocals persuade us into his world of "fake reality" we are moved, turned and coaxed along this musical journey. The end comes far too quickly with an african sounding vocal hook at the end with crescendos of harmony that leave you feeling chills. I saw a debut album is coming June 3rd? Well I definitely can't wait. 

MAGGIE LINDEMANN - THINGS (TAYLOR WISE REMIX)

Taylor Wise has been on fire recently skyrocketing to the top of the hypem charts with his "Chocolate" and "September" remixes. We had the ultimate pleasuring of premiering his Smallpools "Dreaming" Remix back in February that also reached #1. Well he's back with another tropical themed rework of Maggie Lindemann's incredible single "Things." The record starts quick with bobbing synth stabs and the original's infectious background vocal arpeggio. Not really sure how to describe that vocal line but you get what I'm saying ha ha. Taylor has a wonderful way of combining the synth work into his energetic rhythm section so adeptly that it grooves smoother than silk. By the drop we're treated to a skillfully done vocal chop on top of the moving synth lines that make the record equal parts exciting yet also very relaxing. MAKELOVE - DIVE IN (PAT LOK REMIX)

Pat Lok returns with another sultry remix! This time of he brings his transformative skills to MakeLove's new single "Dive In." The track starts with a chilled out synth line that eventually rises us to the first verse. As we reach the chorus, Pat brings the heat with his characteristically funky bass line and a superbly arousing saxophone line. This track is smoother than silk and makes me think of a classy cocktail hour get together, or maybe a luxury car commercial driving through a neon city ha ha. Whatever this track reminds you of, we can all agree it's sexy af. 

EMBER ISLAND - I CAN'T FEEL MY FACE (GRYN FEELS REMIX)

GRYN is back with a new smooth gem. While "I Can't Feel My Face" by The Weeknd a) might be a little overplayed right meow, but b) is still a total jam. Ember Island takes a beautiful approach to covering this track check it out here and then the GRYN boys do their thing with it. Wonderfully smooth to its core, GRYN bumps the dance factor but for the most part keeps it relaxed. This track makes me feel like an early morning walk along the beach in an exotic tropical paradise. Feels Remix is right on.
