First of all I would like to thank The Echo for hooking me up with free tickets to this sold out St. Lucia show - you guys are amazing! Second - whoa ......St. Lucia was amazing! I have been hearing the chatter over social networking sites and blogs about this band, and loving the St. Lucia EP that came out earlier this year - I was really excited to see if the live show was up to par!
Not disappointed at all!! Jean-Philip Grobler has an amazing voice and the whole band has great stage presence. There is nothing I hate more that looking forward to seeing a band because their record is great, and then their live show is a snooze fest!
"We Got It Wrong" had a big reaction being the single and having that awesome video to go along. However, the last song - I think it's called "September" - was fucking amazing!! I was in the back of the room by the bar because it was so packed I could not get anywhere else (not even to the girls room) - and I found myself actually dancing with a huge smile on my face! I would totally recommend catching a show.....I will be back for more!
