NVDES - DO YOU THINK ABOUT ME

I'm all about the new music NVDES has been releasing in the last few months. He was featured on a Pierce Fulton track a while back "Better Places" that eventually became the name of his new album, and is most notably known for his single "The Other Side". Most  of NVDES' music features indie rock guitar and bass reminiscent of The Strokes or Gorillaz, but of course with his own flare and a hint of electronics just to blend it all together. This tune is a groover of a record and is a perfect beach ready tune for your summer adventures. Listen over on Spotify here. 

BANDMASTER X EZERI - JUST PADDLE

Here's a cool record I came across in my perusings of the interwebs. The dreamy intro and casual piano lead to funky vocals and a lazy beat that really struck my fancy when I heard it. I'm not usually into more experimental music, but I thought this one had the right combination of funkiness and groove that starts to take a hold of you by the end. The end also just opens up and heads into a completely different direction from the opening leaving you rather breathless. I don't know much about Bandmaster or Ezeri other than that they are from Latvia and also just came out with an EP last Friday entitled "Stay Awake" that is also pretty tight so check it out!

KID FROOPY - DRIVE SLOW

Kid Froopy can do no wrong! He's hit some absolute home runs with "BB (four missed texts)" and "Dreams," and you know we were excited to hear his latest concoction - an energetic indie electronic tune "Drive Slow". The song pulses with layers of rhythmic vocal chops throughout the choruses and finale. There's also hints of funky guitar, and an infectious downward falling synth melody that floats in every now and then that serves as the whipped cream on top. This delectable tune is another fine dime in his deck of tasty jams. You can listen on Spotify as well here.

LIL UZI VERT - XO TOUR LLIF3 (BRASSTRACKS COVER)

My fave brassy duo are back with another delicious cover of a famous hip hop track. Following up on their cover of "All Of The Lights" with Alexander Lewis they've chose to take on Lil Uzi Vert's "XO Tour Llif3". Someone told me that Lil Uzi Vert is a messed up version of lucifer? Not sure if that's a joke or true, but now I'm wondering where he got that name haha. Anyways the Brasstracks boys do their thing and deliver another fun gem that's a head bobber for sure. LOST FREQUENCIES & NETSKY - HERE WITH YOU

We would have posted this sooner, but there were soundcloud global rights issues so here we are! This is a special record right here and I guess everyone is quickly taking notice because this record already has 2.2 million streams on Spotify. But hey I guess that's what you get when you put two sexy producers together like Netsky and Lost Frequencies. I saw Lost Frequencies close down the main stage at EDC on day 3 - usually the most tired and zombie like audience of the weekend, but instead everyone was jumping for joy like it was the opening set on Friday. Just a testament to how epic LF throws down. Now to the single - this record starts one way, and ends somewhere completely different. You hit play and the gorgeous flamenco-esque nylon guitar lulls you into a state of auditory bliss right as (cue the Netsky) the beat kicks in and warms you up. As the spikey chorus hits with a winding melody we're quickly brought back down into a rhythmic synth verse alongside more gush-worthy guitar. GAZZO - WATERFALL

Jersey's own Mike Gazzo is back again with a track that is 100% perfect for the summer vibes we're surrounded by. "Waterfall" is an endearing tune that is laid back and relaxing sped along by a heavy dose of ukulele that's present throughout. I could call this tropical, but it's a bit more than that. The vocal chops really define the chorus, and add a level of smirk to the tune that further solidify the good vibes. You can add this to your best summer Spotify playlist here.

BOBBY NOURMAND - MIND (FEAT. DOC & GOODMORNING)

Bobby Nourmand has returned to our BB pages with his latest - a deep cut featuring NY rappers DOC and Goodmorning "MIND". After the success of his past couple of releases "D E E P in NY" and "Smokin' Joe" have put up good numbers on Spotify, he was primed for this latest release on The Magician's Potion Records. The slick bassline bobs underneath a sparse top melody that serves as the perfect backdrop for the lyrics and hip hop verses. Add this to your favorite deep playlist on Spotify.

CUT COPY - AIRBORNE

This is our shitt right here. New Cut Copy means happiness in a lot of people's earholes. This heavenly piece of music will take you "Airborne" with their perfectly groovy bassline, perky drumming and funky guitars. As eclectic as it is magnificent we're treated with flittering blips of rhythmic hits rising out above the flowing pads. The resolute chorus of falsetto singers chant "That don't stop me" as the song bumps along.
