CHOICE - THE SWEET SPOT

If you cruise up to Santa Barbara, take in the beautiful scenery and dive into the thriving music scene there, you're likely to hear about Myles better known by his stage name Choice. The singer, producer and DJ has put together a breakout string of singles amassing over 1.5 million streams across soundcloud and youtube, and he's just getting warmed up. Landing features with the delicious Tasty Treat for "Simple Things" and a release on esteemed collective Hegemon for "A King's Reserve," today I'm bringing his latest "The Sweet Spot" to your ears. The name really hits the nail on the head for this one. The track is full of sweet, melodic and bassy goodness. The beginning is ambient with deep anticipation as the verse begins and takes us up into the vocal chop filled chorus with a stabbing synth line, flowery saw synth blasts and melodic arps. The beat hits a slower four four about 2 minutes in making this track dance floor ready. Chelsea Cutler's comforting lyrics on the track are the perfect cherry on top. Passing up posting a filous track is pretty rare for me - I think he's the bee's knees! At only 19   years old - this young music maker has totally stolen my heart with his solid indie dance sound, I love everything he puts into the world.  filous is back with his fellow Vienna based friend MOUNT for this new original "Emelie ft. [PREMIERE] KAP SLAP - FELT THIS GOOD FT. M. BRONX (KAP SLAP VIP MIX)

So this is a special kind of premiere today, and it's super tasty! This summer Kap Slap released "Felt This Good ft. M. Bronx" and then produced this awesome chill VIP Edit that dropped via Ultra Records a few weeks back! So today's premiere is actually for the first blog posting of the track, and this fresh new video to go along! This VIP mix gives off a fantastic acoustic future pop feel that I am 100% loving! It's the perfect track to kick back with on viby summer evenings, hanging with friends - gotta get into this one immediately! 

UNLIKE PLUTO - FOUND YOU (FEAT. MICHELLE BUZZ)

Ah yess add another jam to Unlike Pluto's quickly growing catalogue of genre expanding, cinematic and generally mind blowing dance music. The hashtag from Monstercat states that this is Trap, but I have to say that's hardly the case. Yes...it does have the deep hitting sub and hip-hop oriented drumming, but this record for me really evolves into more of a trap pop or future bass kind of vibe courtesy of the verses. The beginning is somber with strings, pads and piano as Michelle Buzz's (we like her last name ha ha) tremendous vocals flow on top of the record with finesse. Michelle, by the way, is making quite a name for herself now with a couple of tremendous releases first on Prince Fox's "Oxygen," and now this. We'll be looking for singles coming from that camp soon. As we dive into the chorus, the vocal chop leads the way as hornlike synths and arps cascade around the bombastic sub. BIG GIGANTIC - ALL OF ME (FEAT. ROZES & LOGIC)

Holy mother of collabo's batman! This is a jam right here. A friend recently put Logic's new LP 'Bobby Tarantino' on my radar, and I had a great time listening through. He's got some really dope rhymes, so when I saw him grouping up with breakout vocalist Rozes and the horny duo Big Gigantic, I knew this one was going to be big! This track is a perfect electronic pop & hip-hop crossover. The chorus showcases the horns enveloped by bright saw synths, the occasional fluttering arp and deep sub. The rhythm mostly stays out of the way making room for the infectious vocals, but I do enjoy the splashy hi-hat work. GRIZ - BRFORE I GO FT. LEO NAPIER

I feel like I've been playing catch up all week long ... can't a girl just have some fun while she's working in NY? Nope! Blogging is a very serious business OK!  Lolzzz!
