Our bestie is coming back to the bay to SLAY, and this time Beautiful Buzzz is teaming up with VITAL to throw one hell of a rager at Mezzanine on April 28! Our Prince Fox shows have quite the reputation of raging bliss. We've put together a fantastic lineup with Ship Wrek, our Aussie homie Yahtzel, and the official SF debut of that top industry dog .... [PREMIERE] FAREOH FEAT. LILIANNA WILDE - FAMOUS

In an enchanting collaboration, New York's progressive electronic producer Fareoh and singer-songwriter Lilianna Wilde teamed up to unveil "Famous," an intellectual future-bass psalm. Fareoh takes off with a soft, near rustic, electro-pop beat that illuminates Wilde's crystal clear vocals. As the track continues to unfold, passion ensues as geometric sounds oscillate Wilde's emotionally demanding verses."Famous" manipulates tunnel vision echoes, and seamlessly combines future-bas, electro-pop, and future-trap. Marinated in soul, and punctuated by illustrious intellect, "Famous" is both humbling, and grand- watch this space

WAVE TAPE: SAN FRANCISCO

This weekend we are getting together with of our favorite indie label Next Wave Records (Louis The Child, Manila Killa, Jerry Folk) and this line-up is something fierce! With Bearson and josh pan already announced, we've added a group of amazing artists who are going to round out an incredible night: X&g, Dylan Brady, Aire Atlantica, and KWON. I've heard that  there are also going to be some secret guest showing up as well .... I wonder who??  Tickets are on sale now, you know what it do! 

WOLFGANG GARTNER x K?D - BANSHEE

I'm usually not a woman of few words - I can talk all night long, especially about music.  But today I only have 3 things to say about this new track "Banshee" by Wolfgang Gartner x K?d ..... 1) Always combine the legends with the new kids, magic happens. 2) This Justice vibe tho ... is bringing electro back. 3) K?d is everything ..... I told you so !

BEN PHIPPS - DON’T STOP NOW (FT. SAM DEROSA)

A good artist friend of mine doesn’t like when songs are referred to as bops. He says it’s like getting your hair tousled by the internet. While I can see where he’s coming from, sometimes “bop” is just a perfect word to describe a song. It’s a catchy-ass pop song that gets you moving. This new one from Ben Phipps and Sam DeRosa, co-written by Oktavian and Steve Wilmot, is a bop!

The hooks within “Don’t Stop Now” are irresistible. Sam DeRosa glides into each note with a little sweet sass while Ben Phipps’ crisp beats and melodic stylings cement the track as contemporary pop masterpiece material. I especially like the bridge which, with Sam’s little laugh, big background claps and tambourine, is a welcome alternative to most pop bridges these days which tend to be a little blah. I’ll be putting “Don’t Stop Now” straight into rotation on my party playlists, and you should do the same.

SMALLTALK - WAIT

Today it’s my true pleasure to introduce you to smalltalk, the new musical project of Peter Fenn and Parker Livingston. A serendipitous meeting while working at the same San Francisco tech company led to the duo originally making music together under the name Polaroid, releasing a handful of singles in 2016 and 2017. Now they’ve rebranded as smalltalk and have released their vibey debut single “Wait”, a relaxed indie soul track with the kind of warm vocals and instrumentation that beckon the backyard days of summer. Citing inspirations old and new, from Otis Redding to Anderson .Paak, it’s evident that the pair are able to bring together elements of both classic soul music and contemporary hip-hop beats to create their own unique vibe that feels timeless. We can only hope for more smalltalk as we move through 2018.

THUTMOSE - KARMA (FEAT. ALEX MALI)

Once upon a time ya boy went to a sacred place called the good ole Hollywood Bowl for a show with the one and only Pete Tong. We were there to rock out to some of the most classic Ibiza dance records accompanied by the epic Heritage orchestra. Funny enough I hear Pete announce "Please welcome Thutmose to the stage!" I looked around and was like whattt?? Is that Thutmose I heard? I had been hearing murmurings about this up and coming rapper, but was definitely surprised to see him take that kind of stage. He performed flawlessly, and I knew it was time to check out what all this Thut is about. Today I'm bringing you his latest, a soulful rendezvous of bobbing bass and laid back vibes. Thut gets rockin on the track both singing and rapping in between Alex Mali's delicately yearning vocals. This ones a chill jam and I think you're gonna love it.

[PREMIERE] BRONZE WHALE - EXPOSURE

SXSW is right around the corner which means we get to the hangs with all our homies, and we are especially psyched to see our local Austen duo besties Bronze Whale! To celebrate we are premiering their latest original track "Exposure" that's packed full of all the awesome vibes! With intense soaring melodies and sexy future beats, Bronze Whale delivers another fantastic jam the we are feeeeeling! Get into this one kids!

GHASPER - LUVN U

Ghasper is a name familiar to many in the electronic music space, particularly among fans of intricate instrumental production and forward-thinking sound design. He just released his debut EP Mima which I listened to all the way through twice on my flight to New York last week, and let me tell you—it is excellent. With eight regular tracks and six bonus tracks, it's really more of an LP, and I'm not complaining.

While it’s difficult to pick a stand-out track, “Luvn U” is one that stuck out for a couple reasons. Percussively, Ghasper utilizes unique rhythmic patterns and sounds that surprise and delight. He allows each primary instrument to feature the melody at different points in the song. Sometimes it’s the chopped vocals, other times it’s the massive side-chained synthesizers, and at times it’s what sounds like a malleted percussion instrument. Each instrument tells its own story, and they work together gorgeously. Do yourself a favor and peep the whole Mima project on Spotify and revel in the talent that is Ghasper.
