JAI WOLF - LIKE IT'S OVER FT. MNDR

Watching this young producer rise over the past two years has been nothing short of amazing! I've gone (as a buyer) from twisting people's arms to book him on shows, to not being able to get him on my own shows because all the corporate entertainment companies that leverage festival plays or can buy 30 dates all at once have their hooks into him! As long as Jai Wolf keeps making bad ass tracks, I won't be too mad about it ... and I can always do the after party! I also have the street cred for being at  the forefront of his evolution .... and he's only getting bigger! "Like It's Over ft. MNDR" will be featured on Jai Wolf's debut EP Kindred Spirits and will be out on November 18th! Bananas good!  

[PREMIERE] CLEAR SIX - LIGHT IT UP FT. MOLLY

Our homies at Perfect Havoc have something shiny and new for us this morning as our next premiere! We always see super talented disco legends come from this London based collective, so I'm personally excited to welcome Clear Six to the BB fam with this first post! Hailing from a small town just outside Manchester, Clear Six is starting to make some waves with this solo debut this year, and his new single "Light It Up" with vocals from Molly is sooooo delicious! He's found that sexy deep house disco groove that keeps the dance floor feeling steamy hot! TENNYSON - YOUR EYES (FT. NJOMZA)

Oh my lord Tennyson is simply on another level. It's incredible the maturity of music that's coming out from this camp at such a young age. This young brother sister duo has put together a broad, genre bending and eclectic catalogue, and is in no way slowing down. Their latest "Your Eyes" is another fine example of the versatility Luke and Tess can offer. The instrumental is full of arabic percussion, sound effects, world sounds, bright synths, pianos soo much good stuff it's almost hard to piece it all together. I'm a very casual fan of jazz, but you can easily tell the influence their jazz background has on their sound. Known for taking practically any type of sound: car alarms, seatbelts, breaths, footsteps, etc Luke will find a way to bend its sonic characteristics to his musical will. The prowess he shows in this ability is truly mind-blowing. In "Your Eyes" Njomza's longing vocals are soothing, but with a tinge of heartache, mellifluously rising above the instrumental taking the single soaring to new heights. If you're into geeking out at music like me then start diving into their catalogue.  San Fran and LA you can catch Tennyson on tour with M83 with stops on 10/27 and 10/28 respectively more tour info here. ERIC SHARP - THE THIRST FT. ZHAO

Ayyy lookie lookie our favorite facial haired friend Eric Sharp is back with a dance record full of discolicious delights. Teaming up with classically trained multi-instrumentalist Zhao the two have delivered a sure fire dance floor heater in "The Thirst." "Give me more of your love" rings out the soulful vocals ahead of bumping bass, energetic piano and guitar. The bell like synth melodies breathe life into the record putting a distinctively party vibe to the tune. The breakdown 2 minutes in is full of layers of hype male and female vocals that add a major accent to the tune as it builds into the final dance chorus that pushes into overtime! This is definitely one of the most fun songs I've heard from Eric up to now, and is one that most assuredly deserves your attention. CLOUDCHORD - FOREVER FOR NOW (FEAT. FURIOUS)

Austin based Cloudchord has consistently climbed the Hype Machine charts with almost all of his releases and I have not doubt his latest "Forever For Now (feat. Furious)" will spark up the chart as well. This original is tantalizing to the senses will all sorts of yummy electronic goodness. Smatterings of rhodes piano, bright melodic arps and sighing moving synths fill up the instrumental with smooth percussions and of course the signature Cloudchord guitar riffs. Furious' terrific vocals are simply the icing on this luscious cake. I seriously have not heard a Cloudchord release that I haven't absolutely loved. GOLDEN COAST - COMEBACK KID

I've gotta take a second here and throw some more love over to one of the best upstart indie pop acts around right now Golden Coast. Their last single "Recess" was just a joy to listen to (check out our review here), but today they've struck gold again (pun intended ; D) with their new single "Comeback Kid." Their music is so wavy and beach friendly, and the guitar lines just put a real upbeat vibe to the tune. The chorus lyric "Comback...Comback kiiiiddd" just soars with fluent harmonies creating an infectious lyric that you'll be singing for weeks to follow. Tack another great single onto their quickly growing catalogue. We knew it was coming eventually, but we're now hearing rumors that their debut EP will be coming in November! Great news for us, until then enjoy this awesome new single.   

[PREMIERE] BIJOU x GERRY GONZA - INCREDIBLE

Oh snap - this next premiere is lit! My new boyfriend Bijou teamed up with Gerry Gonza for this new hard hitting dance track "Incredible" and I am loving it! We recently had Bijou on one of our shows in SF and he slayed - so this track cushing is no surprise! With intense beats and fresh G-House dance vibes - these yung Arizona producers are not fucking around! This is the kind of track you drop when the club is at capacity and you want the room to explode! "Incredible" will be included on upcoming comp. Hall of Fame Vol. 1 via Homerun House on Halloween! [PREMIERE] MAHALO - BE MY LOVE FT. CAT LEWIS

Yeee this is some super exciting stuff right here from our boy Mahalo! We've been big supporters of this Hawaiian bred dance floor maestro, and today he's heating things up again with a sweet new single out on the up-and-coming dance label No Definition - a part of the legendary Swiss label Enormous Tunes home to some of our absolute faves like Nora En Pure, Croatia Squad, EDX and more. Teaming up again with the incredibly talented topline genius Cat Lewis, the two have struck gold in "Be My Love." Mahalo's nu-disco instrumental is full of energetic piano and synthwork with some super spicy bass expertly layered behind Cat's vibrant pop vocals. I asked Mahalo to tell me a bit about how the song came about: 

"We started a track "Be My Love" last year around December - it was originally a Nu Disco track that, for me, was never really panning out into something that I really liked in terms of the instrumental. However, I'd always be sending Cat some new WIP stuff and he'd continue to bring up "Be My Love." We eventually found a common ground with this track "gimme your love" which sort of turned into a happy balance of the two and thus this popped out. We weren't super sure what to do with it at first as it's a lot different than the departure I've taken in the last 6 months, but I showed it to My Digital Enemy when I was hanging with them one time and they were certain I had something here. We showed it to EDX and the rest was history!"

Big moves are being made in the Mahalo camp. A track of this caliber is certainly a sign that word is getting out about this up-and-coming producer. We're absolutely pumped to be able to premiere this record, and so happy to see the quick progression of this artist from relative ambiguity to upstart fame. LOST KINGS - PHONE DOWN

As if we even need to say it .... how much we love this delicious Los Angeles duo Lost Kings, or that their new track "Phone Down" is totally rad. It's just stating the obvious! So, instead I challenge all of you to use your creative thinking and ponder this. Last night I was chatting with another buyer/promoter - he and I had a show together that was super successful, and during the show we talked about how we would love to start a night where people had to check their phones at the door - that way they would be forced to actually talk to each other and really pay attention to the music! It's a really great idea - but the issue is this: how do you check 400 - 1000 phones? I mean, just how? Or, do you make people leave their phones at home but then will they not attend the event because of this? Or, do you turn people away at the door if they have phones even tho we would be very clear they are not welcome ... what's the best solution here? I want your ideas! 

This is pretty much what Lost Kings are saying too - the phone is sucking your life away and if you don't put that fucking thing down you are gonna miss out on some really great things in life. 

We just announced a BB show with Lost Kings in San Francisco on November 26 at Ruby Skye. Last time they were in town it was totally bananas - so I am psyched for this upcoming party! Advance tickets just went on sale - don't sleep on this one kids!
