MARSHMELLO - RITUAL FT. WARBEL

Music, Original MixHarrison Morgan1 Comment

Marshmello sure knows how to build the anticipation and keep us at the edge of our seats. There have been many rumors on when his new hit “Rituals (feat. Wrabel)” would finally drop, even teasing us with a preview just a couple of days ago. “Rituals (feat. Wrabel)” finally has dropped and we were not disappointed. This has instantly become my favorite song of the season and I just cannot help dancing every time I put it on. The vocals being provided by the amazing Wrabel himself, I find myself singing along while I do the robot dance to this beat. On Twitter, Marshmello has said that this was “his favorite song he’s ever made” and I cannot help but feel happy inside that the music I love was created with an artist having fun with his love for music. Join in on the fun with Marshmello and I by giving it a listen!

ODD MOB - DOWN FOR LOVE FEAT. HELEN

Music, Original MixEricComment

Brisbane's Odd Mob has gifted us a very cool record that's ready to get you hype for the weekend. "Down For Love" starts even keel and vibey with chill bells and grooving rhythm behind Helen's searing vocals. As the vocal chorus fades with "Down For Love" the dance chorus snaps into place with jabbing synths, a spearing snare and an electric vocoder that flows our way into the next verse. Odd Mob has put together quite a catalogue of remixes and has also released some excellent originals in "Gassed Up" and "Origin". If you're not on this bandwagon yet then what are you waiting for?? You can stream/download "Down For Love" on your favorite retailer here.

DIFFERENT SLEEP - FIRST TO SAY (FT. VANESSA ELISHA)

Music, Original MixEricComment

I'm just gonna say I love Vanessa Elisha's voice. We've been big supporters of this up-and-coming Aussie and I couldn't stop myself from supporting her new tune with Different Sleep. "First To Say" is a moody tune that slowly builds from ambient sounds and and moving pads into a vibey drop with pumping sub and two step percussion. The track envelopes you with emotional fervor as Vanessa's moving vocals entreat you to bob your head back and forth. This track is juicy and is totally ready for your rainy afternoon. You can stream this tune on Spotify here.

[PREMIERE] THE BROCKS - HLYWD

PREMIERE, Original Mix, MusicErin MaherComment

I love new songs about my home town - growing up in Southern California is definitely a different experience from those who move there with wide eyes and big dreams .... because most of the time those people get crushed! It's hard to call a place like that home, the fashion and the clicks and everyone thinking they are so important. I lived this, and now that I live in NorCal I'm happy to say I am out of that scene - even tho it will always be home for me! Today's premiere is from a fantastic up-and-coming indie electronic outfit from Utah called The Brocks - and their new track "HLYWD" is delicious! Co-produced by the homie Kaskade and released on his label, Arkade, The Brocks have their own thoughts on the city of angels. “HLYWD was written from a place of feeling tired of being told what to want and feel. So much of what comes out of Hollywood pushes what is “cool” or “normal”, and this is about wanting to break free of that.” Feels! This one officially drops tomorrow - and I love it!  I can't wait to hear more from The Brocks!

[PREMIERE] ISAAC CAVALLARO - I WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN (FT. ZEFERELI)

Music, Original Mix, PREMIEREEricComment

Ohh I've got an awesome new track today for you from Aussie newcomer Isaac Cavallaro. Known for his experimental textures and layerings of sounds, Isaac has crafted a fluid indie electronic tune that tingles the senses in "I Will Not Let You Down." The record starts ambient and dreamlike with heavenly pads and mystical synths leading us into a mesmerizing first verse with Zefereli's vocals floating on top of the percussion. We're coaxed into the buildup which falls into a halftime chorus with vox chops, a high arp and deep sub. The track picks back up into a tropical four on the floor that's supberbly blissful before we dive back into verse two. Isaac is primed for a breakout release with this one and deserves all 3 and half minutes of your time. The tune is set for release on iTunes and Spotify on November 10.  But you can also download this single for free here.

VIRTUAL RIOT - IN MY HEAD FT. PRXZM

Music, Original MixHarrison MorganComment

Holy Moly! I always get giddy with excitement when I see two artists I truly love come together to collaborate and boy was I not disappointed with “In My Head”. Virtual Riot produces another great track that brings an instant smile to our face and just feel like dancing without a care in the world. PRXZM adds an ambient spin to the track and of course, the vocals completely complement the chill and fun vibe “In My Head” wants to exude. I hope this is an indication that Virtual Riot and PRXZM will collaborate on many future projects so that we can reap the benefits. Be ready to dance and sing along to “In My Head” because after listening to it once, I am holding my own karaoke jam every time it is bumping through my car’s speakers.

LIONE - LEAVE THIS PLACE

Original Mix, MusicEricComment

LIONE has risen from relative obscurity to prominence so quickly that Martin Garrix's new label STMPD RCRDS has taken notice and chosen him to be their first solo act signee. It's easy to see why with amazing tunes like his "Where Are U Now" and "Bodyache" remixes that have drawn all sorts of comparisons to Porter Robinson (not too shabby). It's been a minute since a new release, but I'm super excited to share his latest and first original "Leave This Place". What's not to like about this tune? Luscious synths, bright and endearing melodies, infectious arps and beautiful vocals, the record has an endearing quality to it that invokes a smile at every snare. With a live show, a guest mix on Garrix's Beats 1 radio show and his first original now under his belt, it's clear we have a some major movement here. Beautiful Buzzz has been a supporter from the beginning, and it's awesome to see things moving in the right direction so quickly. You can get this as a free download from STMPD RCRDS here.

TIM GUNTER - FIRST BREATH

Music, Original MixEricComment

Happy Halloween everyone! Who's ready for some candy I know I am! I've got some ear candy for you right here from Tim Gunter. His latest original "First Breath" has already been attracting a lot of attention and rightfully so. The hybrid future trap tune is a flavorful musical cocktail of intersecting emotions. The beginning has a mysterious even haunting synth melody driven forward with an energetic rhythm section. Samples of deep breaths and bells lull you into a false sense of ease as the brass fueled chorus drops us into hysteria. The vox chops warp and weave on top of the bassy goodness before we're driven back into the dark. The second chorus gets a swung treatment as we're lifted off through the end. After a slew of amazing remixes and some ridiculous numbers, we're excited to see his magical originals start to appear. You can stream this on your preferred service here. PS Tim also just gave us a fun edit of the "Stranger Things" theme in time for Halloween check that out here.
