RL GRIME - CORE (TRAILS FLIP)

It’s Fri-yay y’all! I’m getting ready to head out into the desert for my first year of Nocturnal Wonderland this weekend. Definitely ready to let go a little stress from the week and get ready to do some dancing and let loose ya know? This tune is helping me out for sure. TRAILS is a name we’ve seen popping up a lot the last year. The rising producer from Germany is becoming known for his unique reworks of Flume, Goldroom, Louis The Child, and others. His lone original “Crying In The Shadows”, released earlier this year, is an awe-inspiring fusion of genres and even includes a killer guitar solo. TRAILS demonstrates a level of understanding of production and musicality that I think is becoming less and less prevalent among many of today’s new producer/DJs. This new take on the classic RL Grime trap banger breathes a whole new life into the track. He injects super summery future bass vibes while still preserving the essence of the original. Keep an eye on TRAILS fam, cause he’s going places!

JESPER JENSET - HIGH (YOUNG BOMBS REMIX)

My loves Young Bombs just dropped another crazy good remix for us today - can this Canadian duo do any wrong? Over this past year we have seen then crush all things, including a fantastic live set in SF where I was too hungover to rage but still gave it the old college try. Sometimes you just click with people and these two are the bee's knees - we can always count on them to bring the good vibes! This remix of "High" by Jesper Jenset is total fire, and I have a feeling when they drop this one live the dance floor explodes! Official release date is 9/2 but you can listen on repeat here! 

KEIYNAN - HIGHER (JAYCEEOH REMIX)

Honestly - there has been so many amazing tracks out this week, I've been really struggling over which ones to put up on BB - so I decided to go with tracks that were pure sexy time vibes. Everyone likes the sexy time - and Jeyceeoh just nailed it with his new remix of "Higher" by Keiynan. I think I might have a thing for Canadian guys with glasses - because I happen to think Vincent is the cutest thing ever, like .... cuter than puppies. Better not let Robokid read this because he's my ride-or-die with the cuteness usually - he'll get jelly. Maybe it's the Canadian thing - I have the best homies up north who I love to the moon and back so I have to assume Vincent is probably a super cool person too. Whatever it is ... I'm swooning. Once you mix in the music he makes, OMG I'm such a girl! This week Vincent put out this clutch flip of "Gangsta" by Kehlani that is packed full of all the future bass vibes - it's got me feeling some type of way! You can swoop a free download HERE! STALGIA - IN THE TREES (ANDREW LUCE REMIX)

There is no way you can listen to this new Andrew Luce remix of "In The Trees" by Stalgia and not think that this future bass vibe is not peaking on this one! For real, every ounce of this remix has all the future feels elements that we go gaga over. This Los Angeles producer nailed it, and honestly it's pretty much my most favorite track I've heard in a minute! With all the amazing music that hit this week, Andrew Luce comes out on top! SNAKEHIPS - CRUEL (TA-KU REMIX)

My day was pretty much made with this one riiight here! I saw it come up late last night as an exclusive premiere somewhere so had to wait until today for it to go wide, and ooh ahh ooh it's so delicious I'm swooning! Can we all just feel this arousing groove on a Friday afternoon? Ta-ku has spread his thick R&B flavor all over "Cruel" by Snakehips - it's real nice! 

THE CHAINSMOKERS - CLOSER FT. HALSEY (TWO FRIENDS X CLASS & CLOWNS REMIX)

Eyyy lookie lookie Matt and Eli aka Two Friends are back with great re-work of The Chainsmoker's #1 single "Closer." I didn't get the opportunity to do a write up about the original, so I gotta take a moment to throw some mad props to Freddy from Louis the Child and Shaun Frank for co-writing and helping get this track up off the ground, and Drew from The Chainsmokers for putting his own vocals on the track. That can be a scary leap, but Drew crushed it out of the park with the first swing. Now on to Two Friends's mix - the guys have collabed with Class & Clowns amping up the rhythm a bit for this rework, adding guitar and definitely putting their own amigo flare to the chorus. The drop busts out with a huge distorted synth, spiking up and enveloping the track in a wall of sound. The original is already a pop breakout hit and this rework is undoubtedly stoking the fire.    

RYDER - RUINS (BKAYE & BEN MAXWELL REMIX)

I've recently become friends with both these West Coast fresh up-and-coming producers, so I am loving this collab remix they just put out of "Ruins" by Ryder. BKAYE & Ben Maxwell have both impressed me to the point that I have put them on upcoming BB/Crossroads shows ... and I can be very picky! But as you can hear from this siiick future beats flip, they are kinda bad ass!
