New Album: Young Empires - Wake All My Youth

The very cool and fun thing for artists to do these days is make their new music available to stream - which is smart considering the times we are living in this crazy music industry! New Video: White Rabbits - Heavy Metal

White Rabbits is such a great band! I accidently saw thies guys about 5 years ago - where The Virgins opened for them and they were supporting Tokyo Police Club. It was one of those awesome discovering new music you had no idea about at a live show moment...I love those moments better than anything. I believe I danced a lot during White Rabbits, and I kept asking people around me, "who is this?" The little singer had on white pants that did not leave much to the imagination....you know what they say....little man, big.....

Anyway....White Rabbits have a new album coming out! This is excellent news! First single is called "Heavy Metal" and they have givin us a very cool video to go along! Yes please!! Album will be out on March 6 and it's titled "Milk Famous"!!!

New Video: Sleigh Bells - Comeback Kid

If I were ever in a band, I would want it to be this band. Sleigh Bells are edgy and interesting - they call it noise pop - and she is so tough! I bet you would never catch her wining about some heart break or loving someone so much that all they do is write songs about them - totally losing sight of who they are - like I am susposed to care? I have my own shit to deal with....why would I ever care about yours?? Anyhow, that's how I feel about that....but not Sleigh Bells! And she is so hot!!

New video for new single "Comeback Kid" is not as interesting as the music, but whateva!! It's really just all about the music! New album out February 14!! Get it!!

New Music: Jack White - Love Interruption

Jack White is my hero! He is the kind of artist my generation has been waiting for. Everything he touches turns to gold and it is well deserved. He maks us feel something deeper, something raw, something real. He is inspiring, forthright and a true gentelman! He is my hero!

Finally, Jack White has his first solo album coming out called "Blunderbuss" on April 24 and I cant wait to get my hot little hands on this one. First single is called "Love Interruption" - and I already heard it on my way to work thismorning! I can expect that to happen, but it dosent matter because it's good shit!

New Video: Races - Big Broom

Oh.....I struggle with this band. Races seems to be LA's newest next big thing. Last year around this time it was Foster the People, and look what heppened with them. My problem with Races is that I love this song and enjoy listening to recorded songs - but I am not impressed with their live show. I am just one of those people who need a great live show to be super impressed...and I just dont get it with them. I don't know, maybe I have to check it out again, I am down to give anything a second chance.

Meanwhile, their new video for "Big Broom" was primered today on Rolling Stone! Holy shit!! Holy shit balls!! That is incredibly exciting for Races and I am super happy for them. I bet they are all at home or work right now with hearts pounding and smiles from ear to ear! Congrats Races!!

New Video: Get People - Macaw

Love this band, love this song, video is not my favorite. How many more times can we see a story about miserable women and their shit-bag men? Boring.....but the song saves it! Get People keep showing up here because they are awesome! Still waiting to see a live show....crossing my fingers it will be soon!

Remix: Mausi - Sol. (Polarsets Remix)

I know I have not been talking much about what bands are going to be playing my SXSW showcase this year, and that's because I have not announced yet....but that is coming very soon! Polarsets may or may not be playing, but all they same I think they are awesome!! This Newcastle, UK trio released new single "Morning" back in August of last year that has stolen my heart...love love love!

Today Neon Gold premiered their new remix of Mausi track "Sol." and had this to say - "taking Mausi's everlasting summer anthem "Sol" and injecting it with that full-frontal Friendly Fires-in-Ibiza vibe that they pull off so effortlessly. All we wanted was to thaw out a bit and just like that, they answered our prayers with this thorough remedy, a familiar mirage of the tropics underscored by Mausi's sunbeat vocals and Polarsets' trademark man-of-steel drums."

New Music: Tanlines - Brothers

2012 is turning out to be one hell of a year for new music! My "must buy" album list is already 2 pages long! Just added to that list is New York electro rockers Tanlines! They have a new single out called "Brothers" that I have had on repeat for about a week now! So good!

New album "Mixed Emotions" comes out March 20 which means they will be tearing up SXSW this year! Exciting!! They are offering "Brothers" as a free download! Thanks Tanlines!

New Music: New Build - Finding Reasons

Electronic bands - thank you for making my life a better place! Without you - LCD Soundsystem, Spleen United, Cut Copy, Hot Chip, Art Vs Science and so on and so on...I may have been forced to listen to nothing but LMFAO for my dance music pleasure. Thankfully that is not the case and I have you, electronic band, to bring huge amounts of joy into my life!! Recently formed electro band - New Build - is AWESOME! What do you get when you take Al Doyle (Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem), Felix Martin (Hot Chip) and producer Tom Hopkins and put them together to make a band....you get radness of the best kind!

New album called "Yesterday Was Lived And Lost" will be out March 5 and they will be hitting SXSW with a 6 piece band! Fantastic!!
