[PREMIERE] HOODBOI - CLOSER FT. ASTR (KENDE REMIX)

I am loving the B Side releases for remix EPs that have started to become a trend as of late! Mostly they are versions that did not make the EP, but were just too good to ignore. I imagine it has to be pretty tough narrowing down which remixes are officially released, etc - there are so many super talented producers making great music, and with all the politics this industry contains ... glad it's not my job to make the call. Today's premiere is from a brilliant young newcomer Kende with his fresh flip of "Closer Ft. ASTR" by Hoodboi. This Swiss producer has layered light glitchy beats over big builds and sick vocal drops for so many future feels - I'm kinda obsessed with this one! AUTUMN IN JUNE - TAKE FLIGHT

Oh Los Angeles, you just keep churning out all the fresh jams these days! Part of me is sad I'm no longer within your city borders immersed in this brilliant scene, but the other part is glad to not be in an industry saturated environment -- and bringing the vibes to other markets, spreading the love for all the brilliant musicians you're producing in our little future bass fam is what I love doing the most.  Welcome Autumn In June to his first BB post with original track "Take Flight." CANDYLAND & SHOFFY - FACES

New recruits to the esteemed Monstercat label, rising Californians Candyland and Shoffy have come together to bring us a journey of a record in "Faces." I'm surprised Candyland hasn't yet graced the pages of BB, but with her steadily rising collection of tasty electronic jams, we have totally caught up to the bandwagon. Shoffy on the other hand isn't a newcomer - check out our premiere of his record "Villains" with stud Canadians Loud Luxury. Together the two have created a tune that starts one way and leaves you in a totally different place. The beginning is chilled out and sparse, accenting Shoffy's lush R&B vocals. And then... launching into a surprising flourish of bass, the drop hypes you up and fills into this sick trap like future drop that's really in a category of it's own. The vocal chops explode everywhere with accents of distorted blips all above that super sub. This is a total set changer and deserves every ounce of support it can get. [PREMIERE] MAHALO - CATCH MY EYE + HEARTBEAT EP

Well we've seen Mahalo making big strides in the last year, grinding putting out a lot of tracks, really finding the flavor of his nu-disco influenced house. Happy to say we've been on this train since the first stop. Today I have the pleasure of premiering Mahalo's latest "Catch My Eye." The track has bits of tropical themed influences, but with a distinctly nu-disco flare. It's repping flanging guitar, 80's-esque breaks, pads and drumming all wrapped up with the soulful vocals that totally caught our ears. "Catch My Eye" comes as the second single off of his 'Heartbeat EP' courtesy of the UK's Sleazy Deep label. The EP features another amazing single "Heartbeat" I had to throw in to this post as well, along with Rob Made's sexy remix of "Heartbeat" and Mutiny UK's Bongoloid Dub rework of "Catch My Eye." MUTEMATH - MONUMENT (KASBO REMIX)

As the end of summer slowly approaches, electronic remixes continue to be on the rise in this hot season. Kasbo's new remix of the song "Monument" by Mutemath turns the upbeat alternative rock song into a more chill electronic indie jam. With the added array of smooth futuristic drums and bass, the track emphasizes the summer vibes that give the track a similar sound to Mura Masa.

XYLØ - FOOL'S PARADISE

Ohh we at BB always get excited when XYLØ graces us with new music! I've been watching the Olympics the last couple days, and after a couple listens through I feel like "Fool's Paradise" would be a perfect track for an Olympics promo video. It has a darker intensity to it spurred by the driving piano, cinematic rhythm and deep voiced background hums. It sounds exotic but uplifting, like I want to go out and run a 5k or hit the gym. The track is pop pump up jam lead by Paige's lovely pipes and fierce lyricism (lots of P's in that sentence ha ha). Regardless, in our book XYLØ can do no wrong, so stack another tasty gem to their quickly growing catalogue. You can listen to this one on Spotify here and purchase on iTunes here. 

L C A W - PAINTED SKY

Look at this riiiight here! Our young friend L C A W has just dropped his first original single "Painted Sky" and I feel like a giddy school girl! Full disclosure - it was officially released a month ago, but just made live on Soundcloud so we're giving it a new boost! We have been a big supporter of this German indie dance producer - even put him on a few shows last year when he was in the states.  So, how exciting for everyone when we finally get the debut original ... a real milestone for any musician. This one is filled with bouncy melodies with serene vocals over a deep dance groove ... it's awesome! You can swoop this one HERE! 

FATHERDUDE - WHY I CAN'T RELATE FT. JOELL ORTIZ

I've been trying to get this track up for days but the distractions have been real! Sometimes, all good things come to those who wait - and this track is so delicious I knew I could no longer keep it from all y'all! My homie FATHERDUDE is back with his next single "Why I Can't Relate ft. Joell Ortiz" and it's been on repeat allllll weekend! This rising star is making so many moves it's almost hard to keep up with all the collabs and features and sweet original jams .... he's spreading his soulful funky vibes all over the place, and we like it!
