BEAUTIFUL BUZZZ

ZHU - GENERATIONWHY (LOUIS FUTON REMIX)

Music, RemixErin MaherComment

It's almost 5am and I have not been to bed just yet - so deciding to blog at this moment might not be the best idea - but I've been listening to this jam all day, and as I come home from a fun night of work and play with another successful show in the books, I'm back listening to my homie Louis Futon, do what he does. I am a huge fan. I've only done one show with him, a boat party which was pretty great, and I have really been trying to have him back on another one of my events ever since .... but timing is off. Soon tho, I'm make it work. Yesterday he dropped his yummy remix of "Generationwhy" by ZHU, and once again he blows my hair back with his funky future style. Louis Futon has a gentle elegance about his music, it seems to flow effortlessly from his heart. Only spending a handful of hours with him 16 months ago, I did learn a bit about his charming character. I am convinced he has no idea how good he is, but then actually knows exactly how good he is ... if that makes any sense. Love this track - you guys need get into this one!

MARTIN GARRIX - IN THE NAME OF LOVE FT. BEBE REXHA (THE HIM REMIX)

Music, RemixErin MaherComment

I'm feeling rather mainstream EDM today - it happens from time to time and I just can't get enough of the big room beats with soaring vocals; songs made for festivals where I can fire spin and shit (not really). So when my homies The Him sent their new remix of "In The Name Of Love ft. Bebe Rexha" by Martin Garrix thru today, I thought it was the perfect combo of the underground cool that we like to support (The Him) with mainstream EDM (Martin Garrix). This one is going to make you shake that booty fo-sho! I have more rather exciting stuff coming from The Him next week ... you'll have to wait a few more days for the goods!  Until then, our show with The Him + Lost Kings in San Francisco on NOV 26 at Ruby Skye is coming up, if you're in the bay area you should come on out yo! Grab tickets ... it's time to rage!

ADVENTURE CLUB - FIRESTORM FT. SARA DIAMOND

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

What a Friday - the jams just keep dropping like pieces of confetti from stage cannons that promoters like to blow all over us during sets from artists like Adventure Club! Boom! This Canadian duo is no stranger to the EDM world as well as our headphones - they totally crush all things and make us feel warm and fuzzy inside (which most Canadian's do). This new track "Firestorm ft. Sara Diamond" is bananas good with that vibe of epic sounds that Adventure Club produces so effortlessly. Get into this one kids!

BEARSON - ONE STEP AT A TIME (FT. NATALOLA)

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

Pretty excited for this one tbh - Bearson has completely stolen my heart this year! There was definitely a reason I put him on the BB "Ones To Watch in 2016" list at the end of last year ... and everything I hoped would happen for this young Norwegian producer is happening! Yassss! Today Bearson releases a new original "One Step At A Time ft. Natalola" and I am swooning! He mixes bouncy pop rhythms with synthy dance beats that are so delicious I can't stop chair dancing at my desk! Add in sultry vocals from Natalola and BOOM ... greatness! This one comes to us via our super homies at Ultra/Next Wave, and you can buy or stream this bad boy HERE

STELOUSE - BEEN SO LONG (FT. NICK LENG)

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

And this is why I love StéLouse so much and think he's one of the most creative and talented producers and musicians out there in this big bad world ... amazing! This Denver legend has given way from his deep bass beats and future trap vibes for some lively electro dance pop that is heaven! "Been So Long ft. Nick Leng" shows us StéLouse's lighter side with delightful rhythms and catchy melodies, and with Nick Leng's gentle vocals they have achieved pop perfection. StéLouse has just been signed to Republic/Casablanca and will be unveiling his new live show this year at Snowglobe Festival - which you can 100% believe I would not miss for anything! Big moves! Listen and love!

CRNKN - THE GRIP (FT. SARA KENDALL)

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

I'm playing catch up again this morning! So many great tracks came out this week that I've been meaning to get to but ... once again this busy girl can't always do it all!  So, before the Friday releases start going live (there are a ton today) I'm gonna try to get to a few tasty morsels before the mad rush.  This one tops my list - Los Angeles producer CRNKN released a fantastic future feels original "The Grip ft. Sara Kendall" that is a beautifully haunting ... so many feels with this one! Sara Kendall's voice and lyrics reflect a time in her life when she was dealing with depression, something I believe most of us can relate to ... and together they have created an emotional tale that will definitely get under your skin. Brilliant!

THE KILLERS - MR. BRIGHTSIDE (TWO FRIENDS REMIX)

Music, RemixEricComment

Los dos amigos are back! Oh wait can I speak spanish in Trump America? Oops sorry for getting political for a second, lets get musical. The Killers 'Hot Fuzz' LP was one of the first albums I literally played to death. I had it in my cd player back in the day and would wake up to it before school every morning. Not to mention Mr. Brightside is a longstanding hit that's going to span generations. Well Two Friends have taken to remixing this classic and prepped it for 2016 dance floors. I would love to see this track in a set, it's starts much like the original then forms and molds into a future bass dance floor banger that's heating up the BB office right now. I hear rumors of some new singles and an EP on the horizon from this camp. More info on that later, right now lets boogie to a classic.

XAN GRIFFIN - U REMIND ME (FT. ANUKA)

Music, Original MixNathan ThostComment

California producer Xan Griffin just joined forces with vocalist Anuka to release his first original track. The self described Gemini stays true to himself and delivers some moody goodness, bringing the listener along for an emotional ride, with Anuka's vocals blazing a melodic trail ahead. The release of an original composition of this calibre displays a capability to step up and evolve past the initial stages of big-room remixes and define his own space within the genre.
