I've spent the weekend listening to the rain hammer the tin roof on my parents backyard patio, it echos through the house when we have big storms which is quite thrilling for California. With flash flood warnings, closed roads and power outages, I took the opportunity to disconnect and spend quality time with the dogs. Now it's back to work, and I can't think of a better track to kick off the week! Our homie PatrickReza is back with a delicious new track "Lights Out ft. Abhi the Nomad" that's bringing all the future feels. It's not even 8am and I am throwing my trap arms - the feelgood vibes are strong with Abhi's vocals .... swooning! MEMBA - WARRIOR

Danggg, MEMBA lays it down heavy with a tribal, bass heavy banger i can't get out of my head! Just heavy enough to send the crowd into a frenzy while staying funky enough to not scare away anyone who may not share as strong an affinity for heavy bass tracks as i have come to know and love. Everything i have heard thus far from these gents is golden and versatile, and their live performances feature a healthy portion of live instrumentals that calls my name. AUTUMN IN JUNE - COCAINE EIGHTIES

This is not the first time we've talked about this fresh Los Angeles electro pop newbie, and if he keeps dropping jams like this if definitely wont be the last. Autumn In June has a new single "Cocaine Eighties" and we are loving all the things about it! He mixes up 80's new wave electro funk with 90's R&B with synth pop and hip-hop vibes ... I can't get enough! This kid writes and produces all his own tracks in a log cabin in his South Central back yard that he built himself from Youtube instructional videos ... I can't even make this shit up! He's great, and not listening to Autumn in June is not an option.   

PHAM - TALK TO ME (FT. ANUKA)

Guys! If you even knew what the last 7 days were like for me, you would understand why I have been a bit quite! All the agents and managers are going to start taking off for the Holiday this Friday, so the hustle is on to get all things done before then. You're girl would like a wee vacation as well yo! I feel bad tho because I was supposed to get this new Pham track up days ago, and I said I would and I kinda failed. His super dreamy manager is also a homie - we like to dust bottles while sharing stories about being a talent buyer in this industry when together - and I told him I would post .... and I've been a bad friend! The other thing tho, is that Pham is bananas good, so I have also failed all of you by not getting this track up the day it dropped! This yung legend has been making big moves in 2016 - his sensual R&B feels mixed with future bass hip-hop sounds simply oozes from this new track "Talk To Me ft. Anuka." Them vocals are on point! PELLICAN CHILD - TURN ME DOWN

Louis The Child + Pell = Pellican Child. This one is very fitting considering I am still battling a hangover from Wednesday night's Louis The Child after party we threw .... ouch! What a year for my bb boys - the "2016 worst year ever" curse seems to have passed up these yung legends - Louis The Child have absolutely crushed. This new project with experimental soul artist Pell is something pretty special, mixing the easy going dance vibes and delicious R&B hip-hop vocals. Feels! This is their first release, and from what I am told we are gonna get more goodies in the new year!  

RAHMANN - SHOW YOU (PROD. WORKERS)

New Jersey rapper Rahmaan just teamed up with French producers Workers to drop a vibey, bouncy track reminiscent of Anik Khan over a Soulection beat. Adding to a growing pool of rising stars of South Asian descent, Rahmaan's lyrical content and delivery show how a new generation of experiences and culture is infusing itself into hip hop, and music overall. Hip Hop is at least in part defined by its ability to act as a medium for the examination of an individual or group's unique perspective into the American experience. The more diverse these stories are the richer the experience for everyone involved.
