BEAUTIFUL BUZZZ

ELOQ - DIAMONDS

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

Alright - so I'm gonna say it. If there is any track you need to listen to on this very busy release day, it's this one. "Diamonds" by ELOQ is everything! This Danish producer just dropped all the heat via our loves over at Next Wave. Besides the obvious fantastic future pop feels and sexy dance floor beats, the vocals for this one are super buttery and delicious - and even tho they don't tell us who's singing, only one lady can produce such heaven and that's ! Must download this immediately HERE!

REZZ x K?D - FOURTH IMPACT

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

As if we didn't already know this was gonna be bananas good - it's a collab with Rezz and K?d ... I mean you know before you even press play! Both these awesome producers made big moves last year - we even hosted 2 shows in SF with Rezz, and finally we are seeing K?d pop up on 2017 festival flyers to start playing his first live shows. Today they drop their much anticipated track "Fourth Impact" for all the feels! Filled with Rezz's signature ominous techno sound and K?d's future flaver, the two deliver a dark sexy track with hard edges and deep dance beets - I'm so into this one! You can grab a free download HERE!

PHIL GOOD - GROWING UP

MusicMike DooseComment

Phil Good is back and he is absolutely philling it with this second release! (See what I did there?) In all seriousness though, the Los Angeles singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist came out of the gates incredibly strong with debut single “Sleeping In” which was a frickin’ earworm if I’ve ever heard one. The guy can write hooks! But he’s got the lyrical prowess and production chops to go along with it, which is certainly rare these days. With top-notch future pop production, relatable lyrics, and a killer synth lead, “Growing Up” is a deeper and darker follow up which shows a more emotional side to the emerging artist. He’s in good company too with fellow Working Group Management clients like Cheat Codes, Billie Eilish, and CADE (among others). I for one am extremely eager to hear more of what’s in store for Phil Good.

PURPORANGEJUICE - LOTUS

MusicMike DooseComment

With a name like Purporangejuice, it’s gotta be good right? It sounds like a beverage concoction I would have made in the 8th grade cafeteria, but he’s really an impressively skilled producer making downtempo experimental future electronic music. This unique instrumental track “Lotus” is his debut, released via forward-thinking label Warpaint Records, which has quickly become known for uniquely talented artists in the electronic space regardless of their “genre.”

Reminiscent of such virtuosic producers such as Mura Masa, Tennyson, or Electric Mantis, Purporangejuice’s “Lotus” is a chill journey through an array of iridescent synths, contemplative beats, and otherworldly sonics. One could liken it to floating through an interplanetary rainforest, which if you ask me is pretty freakin’ cool.

UKIYO - CALLING (FEAT. YOUR GIRL PHO)

MusicMike DooseComment

I swear they must offer electronic music production as a course in Australian high schools or something because the amount of talented producers making tunes in the land down under these days is seriously nuts. 20-year-old Timothy Arnott, who goes by the name Ukiyo (which makes me think of manga and Blue Eyes White Dragons - anybody?) is certainly one in the upper echelon of this group of youngsters from the South Pacific. His latest track “Calling” is poised to be a breakout single for the artist. Rich layers of wavering synths, minimalistic percussion, and delicately yearning, almost R&B-inspired vocals from Young Girl Pho (which is also an awesome name might I add) come together to create some seriously vibey vibes. Ukiyo is calling y’all; don’t let this one go to voicemail.

[NEW SHOW] WELCOME: A FUNDRAISING CONCERT FOR THE ACLU

Concert, Event, Live Set, MusicErin MaherComment

My best friend and I are bleeding heart liberals, but from time to time we can get into heated conversations over politics, especially now with President Trump in office. One night not too long ago she called me out after I made a statement about how I believed many of the protests do not change anything, and she asked me what I was actually gonna do if not protest. So, I normally don't post about shows that are not mine, or about politics on Beautiful Buzzz - but this is really something special. I am shocked to learn how many racist, homophobic, non-tolerant, stupid American's there are left out there .... that we were actually capable of electing someone like Trump as our President, and this bigoted womanizer with no political background has the power to put forth in motion the immigration ban last week. What is happening to us? I thank my parents every day, for moving us out of Missouri in the 80's to California, where I was able to grow up learning love and tolerance for all. I'm proud to live in this west coast  bubble, because things like this happen with like minded musicians who live here - the arts will always be for the people and support the people. So, this is me doing my part ... spreading the word about this fundraiser for the ACLU that ZEDD (an immigrant) put together, asking some of his friends to join him. No ego's here kids - we all just want to help!

XYLØ - DEAD END LOVE (VASTA & N2N REMIX)

Music, RemixEricComment

Time to get a little deeper with this combo of BB regulars XYLØ, Vasta and N2N. "Dead End Love" is definitely a favorite of the XYLØ releases (hell I pretty much like them all), but Vasta and N2N have a concocted a deeper version of the tune that's much more sweaty warehouse friendly. Honestly the first time I heard the tune I thought the way the vocals warped around in the chorus was a little jarring, but on second listen it started to gel and then became totally groovy. This is perfect for that afterhours joint and definitely keeps things kickin'. You can nab this as a free download here.

TWO FRIENDS FT. MAX - PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY

Music, Original MixEricComment

Ahh we've been waiting for this! "Pacific Coast Highway" is the first installment of Two Friends' upcoming debut original 3 song EP 'Out of love.' Appropriate to the name, this track is a total cruiser and is ready made for your long relaxing drive down California's most scenic highway. The vocals from MAX are brilliantly performed and add a definite level of excitement when the song bursts into sax. The combo of guitars, ooohh's and rolling bass should bring you to the sunny Cali daze. Add this to your fave spotify playlist here.
