New Music Friday - it's what everyone talks about these days.  I'm old school tho - I remember when new release day was Tuesday and we didn't have digital platforms to explore ... it was a different world.  I digress, It's Friday and I am over loaded with new music; the inbox is bursting and my DM's are chiming every few minutes ... but I came across this new one from our love SG Lewis with the ever so amazing Clairo. Mixing his sweet laid back grooves with her sultry vocals has created a perfect summer jam that everyone can enjoy! It's new music Friday, and you should be listening to this track! 

FAMILY OF THE YEAR - HOLD ME DOWN (AUTOGRAF REMIX)

We 100% cannot get enough of Autograf! They are a fucking machine - pumping out the most excellent tracks and remixes faster than we can blink - and it's all so so so good! They are unstoppable! Their latest remix of "Hold Me Down" by Family Of the Year is a dusky electro pop jam filled with the finest vibes around. Love it! Hi-fives boys - crushing things as always!

Good morning kids! It's been a delightful holiday here in the US - celebrating the birth of our nation. Now that the weekend is upon us, we American's are in full party mode ... lighting up our BBQs, drinking cheap beer, and looking for that one track to get the dance party started! I got one riiiight here with our next premiere - "Too Cool To Dance ft. ONIVA" by Swedish producers Tobtok & Ghassemi.  Tobtok has been one of our besties for a minute, and with this new track he brings all that delicious dance pop flavor that delights our senses and makes that booty shake. With bouncy summer time beats and refreshing vocals, this one lets us know summer is in full force! You can catch Tobtok at a number of upcoming dates this summer listed below!

DEON CUSTOM - WITH YOU

The San Holo-founded bitbird label has been on a serious roll since it was started in 2014. They've been signing young musical visionaries left and right who are indisputably paving the path towards the future for electronic music. An example of one of these power players is Dutch artist Deon Custom. He recently released his single "With You," which comes with much variegation as it pulls elements from multiple genres such as chill, indie, lofi, experimental and electronic. The song gives way to a psychedelic journey as it delicately weaves intermittent waves of both dissonant and constant harmonies through a down-tempo beat and a spectrum of glitchy synths. To say the least, I'm definitely looking forward to hearing what else Deon has in store for 2018.

There's nothing better than kicking off a Monday morning than with sweet sweet grooves from our bestie Goldroom, and in this mix he's bringing the ultimate summer vibes for our listening pleasure. BEAUVOIS - JUPITER

There is nothing sweeter during the summertime than the music that reminds us it is exactly that time of the year. I’m talking about the music that fills us with warmth and joy, almost instantly spreading smiles across our faces as it prepares us for the greeting of sunshine and blue skies. When I stumbled upon Beauvois - widely recognized for his moniker Kidswaste, in addition to being 1/6 of French EDM boy band (if you will) Slow Hours - and his newly released EP, ‘Dimensions,’ I instantly fell head over heels. Though I would love to cover the entire project, it would probably round out to the length of a college thesis. With that said, I wanted to highlight one track in particular, “Jupiter.” 

The multi-talented artist nearly makes time stand still as he exhibits his refined musical abilties through the single. Introducing “Jupiter” with tender guitar riffs, the song eases its way into a kaleidoscopic amalgamation of lifting harmonies, sharp percussive plucks, and airy vocal chops- a combination that sends shivers running down your arms. I highly encourage every one of you to take a chance on Beauvois, “Jupiter” and the ‘Dimensions’ EP as a whole, especially if you’re a fan of all around feeling good.

MISDEED - ALEX KENNON (NINETOES REMIX)

DJ Alex Kennon has readily established himself as one of Europe’s most recognizable names. Since his early days, he’s been drawn to the arts and seems to know no bounds in terms of influence. After studying classical guitar and joining various clubs in Italy, he’s opened countless doors and curated support from steadfast partiers in places not limited to Ibiza, Switzerland, London, and Berlin. With his release of “Misdeed” from Oblack Label, we can see he’s set the tone for countless others; garnering the attention of German producer, Ninetoes. This remix of “Misdeed” builds on the original foundation of Kennon’s approach but elevates the favorite by increasing the tempo and introducing resonating sub tones, paired with mesmerizing synth sweeps. Appearing out of seemingly nowhere, Ninetoes has been gaining recognition from DJ’s such as Carl Cox, Jesse Rose, and Koze.

TWO FRIENDS - BANDAID

What started as simple bedroom studio sessions, LA’s electronic duo Two Friends have witnessed an onslaught of upward trajectory in recent years. Revered for their stunning rework of The Killers’ Mr. Brightside, Two Friends continues to leave their lasting influence with their original joints. Their latest drop, “Bandaid” is a robust, funky, summer-ready framework embellished with artistic intricacies. Subtle trap notes wisp around a more prominent, bouncy production leaving space for femme-style vocals to shine with a sense of divinity. Bold, and parade-like, “Bandaid” is a testament to the duet’s broad artistic scope and versatility as producers. Derobe, grab a beer, and get down with this groovy piece from Two Friends.
