I am 100% chair dancing at the office right now ..... listening to our next premiere and kind of loving everything about it. Leo Islo released his killer Golden Grave EP earlier this year, and now our favorite LA underground electronic label PUZL is dropping some remixes that are so delicious you won't be able to resist shakin' that booty! We are lucky enough to be featuring this rad electro disco Birdee remix of "Euphoria" that grooves on level 10! LEO ISLO - GOLDEN GRAVE + EP

Leo Islo's new Golden Grave EP is absolutely killer. I've been a big supporter of his music for a while now (check out "Higher Living" such a tune!). I had the opportunity to listen to this EP before it was live and it's been on repeat ever since. Due to circumstances (EDC + moving) I haven't been able to get this up as quick as I would like, but alas here it is! Matt Pahler, pka Leo Islo, has already had a diverse music career and is really putting it all together for this EP. Golden Grave, the title track off the EP, has such a uniquely chill vibe to it. His voice basks you in golden rays of briliance, supported by ambient background vocals, synth stabs, a moving arpeggiating synth bass line, and relaxed percussion. The tune smoothly grooves along flying you up to fantastic heights. I would highly recommend putting ears on the entire EP, and purchase/stream it courtesy of PUZL Records here.

THE BUZZZ BOX - NOVEMBER 23

All sorts of emotions the past few weeks .... being a promoter and a lover of live music my whole life, what happened in Paris on NOV 13 hits very close to home. This week's Buzzz Box is presented in memory of the 130 people murdered, their friends and family, and the hope that tragic events like these do not continue! 

[PREMIERE] LEO ISLO - HIGHER LIVING (ORIGINAL MIX)

Happy Thursday! And what a great Thursday it is. Our good friends over at Los Angeles Music Project (LAMP) have given us an absolute gift of a track to premiere today from Arizona bred, Portland transplant Leo Islo! "Higher Living" is a wonderfully written and even better produced track showing off both his silky smooth vocals and frictionless production style. This record will just melt over you taking you on a mellifluous journey of a twofold variety. First I feel this track blossoms with upbeat synth-wave melodies and sounds, but is also coupled with a somewhat melancholy overtone echoed by the lyrics and vocal style. A subtle kick accents a brooding bass line with waves of arpeggiated synths and an absolutely infectious chorus vocal. With this just his second release on LAMP and a relative newcomer to our pages, we have absolutely no doubt he's firmly implanted to stay.

Our buds over at LA based label LAMP have a new artist that we kinda just fell in love with!!  Leo Islo comes from Portland, and his electro pop sound is super dreamy!!  LAMP is really on the cutting edge of the next generation of up-and-coming producers, their roster is bananas and the addition of Leo Islo is a perfect fit!  This new original track "Feelings" is the beez kneez, and you can swoop this one as a free download!
