A duo actually, Bronze Whale, composed of Benny and Jaques who make "sexy whale sounds" that have continuously dominated the electronic music scene in ATX, just dropped a saucy remix for Whethan and Oliver Tree's, "When I'm Down." The original track is a stand alone classic, but the holy hands of Bronze Whale have cast upon it new dimensions. The flip possesses a pop-step energy, with a kind hint of bubbly on the nose. Yet, it still has this sharp, demanding tone that drives it up and down, you know, so you can shuffle. There is a pronounced emphasis on the intricacy of the production, it's never quite simple- but always an affable listen. Bronze Whale is recognized for their consistent delivery of big room sounds that pull on the heart strings. But, with this remix they give us a party. With this remix, they share with us the testimony of layered complexity in production. Although Bronze Whale is a fraction of a massive, often restrictive music scene in Austin, the two musicians are expanding their reach at a rapid pace, crashing into the scene without a parachute. If you are a regular to Beautiful Buzzz - you know we don't take ourselves too seriously ... we want you to listen too the music we post, so what we say about the music is irrelevant. I suppose this is one of the reasons people like this blog, and I definitely put a lot of my personality into my posts. I'm somewhat of a rule breaker, because how boring would life be if you never did anything 'bad" ... being bad can sometimes be fun, and today I am all about breaking some rules. For example, later today I am meeting the crew for brunch at this German restaurant that serves a boot of mimosa that holds two whole bottles of champagne, which is way over the doctor recommend 3 drinks at one sitting. Breaking rules! Or ... at Beautiful Buzzz we have a rule that we can't blog a song that has been out for over 7 days .... so I'm breaking rules with this Virtu remix, and no one can stop me! This Los Angeles producer completely crushed his remix of "When I'm Down" by Whethan VS Oilver Tree. Our little baby angel Whethan has released another great single with Oliver Tree, full of fun summery vibes that are warming up my cold NoCal morning. "All You Ever Talk About" puts these two young musicians back together to produce a bouncy future pop track that everyone is sure to love! Whethan and Oliver Tree are becoming quite the duo, and I'm thinking this is not the last we'll see from the pair. I have predicted a huge 2017 for Whethan, and just last week he sold out his first headlining show at Lincoln Hall in Chicago! Wow! When Whethan and Oliver Tree's team hit me up about this track some weeks ago - I knew there might have been some nerves in play because is't not Whethan's usual vibe - but I mean with dudes this talented who really needs to be nervous? Whethan and Oliver Tree team up on "When I'm Down" to produce a tasty pop track that I am loving! With bouncy bright beats and Oliver's playful vocals, I think this one hits the mark!
