STALGIA - SPIRIT ANIMAL

Lauren Day and Brandon Leslie, childhood friends turned band mates better known as Stalgia are not new to our BB pages. I was in a busy flurry of work emails when I got sent this record, and I was immediately removed from the doldrums of the office and whisked away to an exotic forest. This track "Spirit Animal" plus the fact that Electric Forest is happening right now has severely overloaded my fomo level. I digress...this tune is a sweet caress of strings and piano that saunters forward at a relaxed pace that should all but message the anxieties from your mind. Stalgia has found that sweet spot so far in their catalogue that is peaceful and beautiful yet still driving and impactful, no doubt due to Lauren's gorgeously breathy vocals and some deep sub. "Spirit Animal" is just heavenly and I guarantee will float you away if only for a fleeting 4 minutes 20 seconds. You can add this on Spotify here.

Oh man Joe Mason has just been wrecking the remix game lately, and he's struck mega flames again with this moving remix of up-and-comers Stalgia. I'm such a fan of this remix, it has depth and dynamic, warming walls of synth wobbles, fantastic sound design and damn I get to premiere this?? So pumped. Y'all please please get on this Joe Mason train, this remix has totally re-invigorated the original in a way that makes this track huge. This one is gonna get played out...a...lot. Oh and whatttt??? He's giving it away as a free remix too? Damn son swipe that up here.

STALGIA - IN THE TREES (ANDREW LUCE REMIX)

There is no way you can listen to this new Andrew Luce remix of "In The Trees" by Stalgia and not think that this future bass vibe is not peaking on this one! For real, every ounce of this remix has all the future feels elements that we go gaga over. This Los Angeles producer nailed it, and honestly it's pretty much my most favorite track I've heard in a minute! With all the amazing music that hit this week, Andrew Luce comes out on top! He's got some cool tour dates coming up - too bad he'll be playing my city on the same night I have a BB show ... but you guys can peep dates HERE! 

STALGIA - IN THE TREES

Let us introduce you to LA newcomers Stalgia with a beautifully eclectic indie electronic tune "In the Trees." Signed with record label Crooked Paintings that also houses indie starlet Annabel Jones, "In The Trees" oozes a deep sense of nervous calm that's uneasy, and yet somehow still relaxing. The track is full of etherial ambient sounds that I personally love, which allow the sumptuous vocals to shine. I'm a little behind in the game on this one because it's already sitting in the Hype Machine top 10, but I love this tune so much I had to get this post up and help it get to #1. Be on the look out for more good stuff from this camp.
