Five months ago, Teflon Sega collaborated with rapper SAINt JHN to release a "bizzare&b" single- "Beretta Lake." As his single continues to top charts and impress critics, Teflon Sega is handing off the track to other talented producers to further capitalize on its artistic success. Just four days ago, Listen2Liri accepted the role of fearlessly flipping it into a ethereal remix. Although the three artists involved in this particular remix didn't work together on the original release of "Baretta Lake," the synergy of the trio is unstoppable. With beautiful transitions, this hazy flip is truly something out of a dream- taking you somewhere very, very far out. "Beretta Lake" is riddled with poetry far beyond its jarring lyricism- it is a musical prose that blossoms with every note. Part of me wants to add it to my "sad girl, rainy day" playlist, while a more optimistic part of me wants to add it to my "dancing with no pants on, with a bottle of a wine" playlist. Simply put, it's a song for many occasions- both euphoric and melancholic. With this remix, Listen2Liri exceeded expectations and executed his take on an already brilliant single. In his latest release "Deleted Conversations", Cleveland's Teflon Sega weaves an intoxicating R&B saga into immersive electronic production that sweeps you up in emotion like a river that wont let go. Co-produced with WAJU, the track reflects on the emotional weight that infatuation and love force us to bear, exposed through electronic bits of texts that are forever erased with a simple swipe of a finger. Teflon and Waju's production lays out a soulful, captivating medium through which Teflon delivers a high caliber vocal performance that won me over immediately. This winter season has already brought us some really dope tracks, and this bone chilling mellow R&B tune from Teflon Sega is 100% tapping my wintery mood. The layers of dreamy pads, longing piano and Teflon Sega's mesmerizing falsetto vocals have put me in a introspective cloud as I'm currently helping to prep our Beautiful Buzzz year in review. SAINt JHN throws down a wistful verse halfway through and leads us into the misty exit. I don't have much to tell you about Teflon Sega at this point other than that I also really enjoyed his first release "Sinner" as well. Relatively new to the scene if he keeps tracks like this coming you'll definitely be hearing more on our pages from this camp.
