VANIC - TOO SOON FT. MATY NOYES

Holy mack it's been quite the day! My hustle has been fierce - a nonstop stream of meetings and emails and artists and music ... I still can't believe I do this shit for a living. Know what else is fierce? This new track by Vanic, that's what! Our homies over at Disruptor Records dropped "Too Soon" this week from yung Vanic and it's all fire! With all the big beats, siiick drops and all the dance floor heat, this one is 4 minutes of pure booty shaking pleasure! DAKK - MOVE ON

I have a new obsession and he goes by the name of Dakk. I rarely get this excited about hip hop. In fact I can count on one hand the number of rappers that I listen to on a weekly basis. When I first heard Dakk (real name Kyle Donald) on MEMBA’s “Brave” (which if you haven't heard, you need to) I immediately knew this guy was something special. The Northern California native has impeccable vocal control and dynamic flow. On “Move On” you can hear attitude reminiscent of greats like Eminem or Kendrick and soft poignant verses not unlike Chicago rappers like Chance the Rapper. His music feels raw and from the heart. Throw in a memorable chorus and perfectly complimentary progressive beats courtesy of MEMBA, and this track is an early favorite of 2017 so far.

CURT REYNOLDS - CAN'T GET FAR (FEAT. BRAVE)

Ahh look at this! Our homie Curt Reynolds is back with some new music! I'm so down for this laid back beach vibes he and V O N have whipped up for "Can't Get Far" featuring startup singer BRAVE. BRAVE has also been coming out with some beast tracks of late including one amazing track from our boy STéLOUSE, definitely check that out if you haven't. If it ain't broke don't fix it, this combo of bobbing bass, glistening pads and pillowy guitar flows over you like a light breeze that just infectiously pulls your head into a sense of calm. Be sure to add this one to your fave beach Spotify playlist.

DIFFERENT SLEEP - TAKE BACK

Here we all are again, Monday morning. I'm looking at an extremely long day, so I'm feeling some jams that are on the chill side, and our boy Different Sleep gets my vibe! This Chicago producer is about to drop a new LP Forget It on Jan 27 via FoF Music. "Take Back" is the last single from this LP, and it has all the dreamy vibes anyone could want. With light synthy melodies and original swirly vocals, Different Sleep gives us that feel good flavor for this mellow Monday morning!   

POOLCLVB - WAITING FOR YOU + 'YOU + ME' EP

It might be cold, rainy and damp in LA right now, but I know it's bright and sunny in the land down under, home to this sunshine struck producer POOLCLVB. Celebrating the release of his beach friendly 'You + Me' EP I'm excited to show you this groovy record "Waiting For You." Bouncy light synths mull around with exceptional precision providing the groundwork for the mellow vocals from Carl Fox (½ of porches). SAN HOLO - LIGHT (LOOSID REMIX)

I've been seeing many San Holo "Light" remixes pop up, and all of them have been pretty good - but just now .... I had an eargasm listening to this one by Loosid. It was around this time last year I starting falling in love with Loosid's music - he has that great dark and sexy, slightly epic sound that effortlessly flows into headphone heaven! BIG Z - GALAXY (FEAT. HELEN TESS)

Another feel-good track for y’all today! Since it’s Friday, why not? A newcomer to the BB pages today is Philadelphia-based feel-good house producer Big Z. Fans of Viceroy, Galantis, and Wave Racer will dig this guy. I'm really digging his production style. It makes me yearn for pool parties. Here’s his latest “Galaxy” which is a gloriously bouncy, uplifting track with perfectly fitting light and sweet vocals from Helen Tess (whose singing we heard back in October on this amazing SMLE track) that will have you tapping your foot and envisioning yourself dancing through space in no time!

WRLD x Savoi // Hideaway

Oh man oh man oh man! I've been wanting to post this track as soon as it was shown to me a week or so ago. If you're not familiar with the Netherland's WRLD then you better get familiar. He's been making some serious gems lately from tunes like "Galaxies" with Father Dude, to his dope San Holo "Light" remix, and now this piece of amazeballs music with Australia's Savoi. Dude...I can't even... candidate for feel god song of the year right here! The flowy melodies and happiness just busts through forcing a smile on your face. Do it I dare you, listen to this song and just try to be sad...seeee....you can't do it! I told you... mic dropped. [PREMIERE] XYLØ - GET CLOSER (SHADES REMIX)

I feel like I am perpetually one hour late to all things! I can't help it, I get involved in something, most of the time it's work, and all of a sudden I'm late to the party. This morning I am already late for work and I am late getting to this premiere! Granted I was watching our new President take office ... but I digress! What I'm not late on is knowing the greatness of XYLØ, we've been huge fans for a minute, and they played our SXSW party last year. Today's premiere comes from fresh NYC production duo Shades - their dance pop remix of "Get Closer" by XYLØ is delicious! Shades are just starting to make their mark in the dance world, and after hearing this fire future pop feels track I am predicting more awesome things in the future!
