SMLE - HALO (FEAT. HELEN TESS)

Happy World Smile Day everyone! We thought it would be all too fitting to bring you this amazing new single :) today of all days. Honestly I'm not sure how SMLE has eluded our pages at this point. I was pretty surprised that we haven't given them any support, but that changes today! Childhood friends and nearly 6 years in the making this grinning duo has hit the 1 million mark on Soundcloud with their Alicia Keys' "You Don't Know My Name" and Owl City's "Fireflies" remixes. Since then they've releases a slew of other successful remixes and some fantastic originals like the jazzy "Everyday" and a pop standout in "It'll Be Okay" featuring the singer of this new record Helen Tess. "Halo" is simply divine and perfect to get you amped for the upcoming weekend. Living up to their name, "Halo" will put a smirk on your face with the energetic piano, pumping synths and the incredibly catchy lyrics. The chorus drop has a huuugggee snare that locks the rest of the rhythmic blaring synths into place. SMLE is here to stay and the upward trajectory is only getting steeper. TATE TUCKER - JUST WANNA

Let us introduce you to one of LA's up-and-coming Hip-hop stud Tate Tucker with his newest jam "Just Wanna." The track strikes a slick balance between being smooth as hell, while somehow remaining hype. Tate's feel good verses, falsettos and croons should put a smirk on your face, while the back beat has a certain innocence to it with the bells and active percussion. Tate also just released a dope video for the tune that shows off his inner Hugh Hefner. Sportin' circle glasses and a robe, Tucker's making the rap game seem easy and that's readily apparent when you hit play. This track is a single coming from his "All In" EP due in November. HARLOE- ALL IN MY FEELINGS

Brand spanking new music alert riiiight here y'all - Harloe nailed this! Newcomer to the scene, this multi talented singer/songwriter has been crushing things behind closed doors, writing for the likes of Britney Spears and Charli XCX. Now she has found her own voice and released her debut track "All In My Feelings" and it crushes! Harloe tapped into my inner spirit by self-producing this track that's perfect for all the turnt up sad-girls out there in the world. The electro R&B vibes here are real yo, and her vocals are like a dream soaked in soulful layers of satiny feels ... I'm so into this!  And let's all give a high five for the coolest ending of a song I've heard in a minute! Gotta get into this one kids!   

TASTY TREAT x KID LIZARD - U AND ME FT. MADI & MALCOLM ANTHONY

When you have this many amazingly talented music makers working on one track - how could it be anything less than bananas good! The homies Tasty Treat x Kid Lizard just dropped this fire collab "U And Me ft. Madi & Malcolm Anthony" and trust me when I say - this will be the only track you will NEED to include in your weekend playlists. Infused with future pop elements and R&B vibes, this track is super sexy. My SXSW boyfriend Malcolm Anthony lends his smooth Hip-Hop swag, and Madi's vocals are as dreamy as ever .... feeling this one! You can grab a free download HERE!

XYLØ - DEAD END LOVE

Happy hump day! I'm gonna start things off with this awesome new single from XYLØ. The Duddy's are simply getting it done giving us some really great radio friendly tunes, and "Dead End Love" is no exception. The track has a mysterious, but pensive angle to it like much of their other songs. The darker lyricism teams up with the solemn soundscape of the instrumental creating a terrifically moody tune, "If we drive right off a cliff, we can live dead end love forever," Paige sings casting a shadow over the tune. However there's enough ear candy in her melodies, and the vox chop sound in the chorus lightens things up just enough to let this track shine. Add another great song to their growing catalogue. LOUDPVCK & NGHTMRE - CLICK CLACK

I'm gonna borrow an Erin line here and also copy what OWSLA had to say about this one: this "New one from LOUDPVCK & NGHTMRE is absolutely bananas," ha ha that's almost certainly an understatement. Tyler aka NGHTMRE can check another artist off his list of collaborators in what seems like an effort to work with every trap and bass heavy artist in the game. At this point we've seen a ton of new material arrive from the scary dreams camp and all just perfectly in time for Halloween. LOUDPVCK on the other hand hasn't been quite as active in the last couple months with their latest being a really dope remix of Kill the Noise's "Without A Trace." Regardless, last week we were given a banger record in "Click Clack" featuring a glitchy lead line and a hype vox sample that's gonna spike your Tuesday. The second drop bumps it even harder getting a little hardstyle for a bit before dropping back down into half time. Get your trap arms ready for this one. You can download/stream from OWSLA here. 

SLAPTOP - PASSENGER FEAT. WILL FRAKER

One of the first times that the fabulous Erin and I ever hung out together in LA I confessed I had fallen in love with her little blog. Slaptop was one of the artists that immediately came to mind when I thought about all the amazing new acts she had exposed me to. I remember distinctly it was his single "Away" over a year ago damnnn how time flies! Well his newest "Passenger Feat. Will Fraker" came out last week and it's definitely a must hear. Slaptop has such a unique sun drenched vibe to all of his records, and this one is just soo good! The deep/golden/lounge (whatever you want to call it) house instrumental just fits all too well underneath Will Fraker's relaxing vocals. If me writing this review exposes you to this amazing artist for the first time, well hey...that would just be fitting : ). You can purchase this from The Magician's label Potion Records here. 

HOTEL GARUDA - FIXED ON YOU (FEAT. VIOLET DAYS)

This last weekend brought the end of September, the start of October and a flurry of new releases. Hotel Garuda's new single "Fixed On You" came out last Friday, but I wasn't able to get a full Soundcloud live link until today so here we go! If you've been a BB listener/reader over the past couple years then you definitely know all about Hotel G. But for those new to Beautiful Buzzz or don't know, the duo comprised of Manila Killa and Candleweather have quickly grown from URL to IRL fame based on their forward thinking, melodic and dance floor ready music. This is their second major original release with the first being the highly anticipated "Smoke Signals" that came out last spring. "Fixed On You" is exactly the kind of Hotel Garuda release we expected, it starts out melodic and chill with string pads, and piano stabs filling in behind Sweden's Violet Days' pop friendly vocals. The track picks it up at the chorus with a killer dance drop full of beefy synth work, bongos and characteristically on point vocal chops. With so much traction, major festival performances and massive numbers it's hard to believe this is just the second Garuda original, regardless they've definitely hit this one out of the park. [PREMIERE] PATRICKREZA - ESCAPE (FEAT. AUBREN ELAINE)

Premiere time yo! It's no secret that Los Angeles is a burgeoning hotspot for talent in the EDM community. Sometimes it seems like everybody and their brother produces music here. Hell, I didn't even know that I basically live down the street from Diplo until I started watching his Snapchat stories. While it may be a crowded scene in a big city, young Hollywood-based producer PatrickReza has managed to make a name for himself here first by making melodic dubstep a couple years ago, and evolving his sound through trap, house, and ultimately landing on his version of future bass. Two months ago, we heard "Let U Fall" ft. Aubren Elaine, which was full of tasty future feels and soulful vocals. Now we're happy to premiere his second track with the talented singer. "Escape" shows him using layers and layers of synths, some which sound like ocean waves, others reminiscent of electric guitars, and a simple chord progression underneath Elaine's familiar vocal. He has an impeccable grasp on how to create those sounds that really get you vibing along with the track. The hook "We Can Escape" will no doubt get stuck in your head for days.

On the process behind creating “Escape”, PatrickReza said,

“I went on a road trip after graduating from university this past summer and it was on this trip that I had initially came up with chord structure and melody for this tune. Inspired by summer days in L.A. and ocean waves, Aubren and I wrote Escape founded on the principals of taking risks and trying something new with the people you love in order to achieve something more than our normative socially constructed confines. We might make mistakes, but we can escape.”
