COURTSHIP. - LOVE FOR EVERYONE

I’m a bit behind on getting this up with the Holiday and all, but I had to show some love to this sweet new single from courtship. This LA based up-and-coming indie pop act is ready to make you smile with their new single “Love For Everyone.” This sun soaked tune picks you up from the second you hit play with shimmering pads, shakers, funky guitars and piano throughout the first verse. The half falsetto vocals ring out with a relaxed, but jovial feel sweeping us into an upbeat chorus that’s got me bobbing my head. In what sounds like a trumpet like synth we’re surrounded by layers of vocals, arps and synths that send this chorus into overdrive. Such a fun tune! I’m definitely gonna be having this one on repeat. You can stream this on Spotify here, and Apple Music and download for free.  

RAHMANN - SHOW YOU (PROD. WORKERS)

New Jersey rapper Rahmaan just teamed up with French producers Workers to drop a vibey, bouncy track reminiscent of Anik Khan over a Soulection beat. Adding to a growing pool of rising stars of South Asian descent, Rahmaan's lyrical content and delivery show how a new generation of experiences and culture is infusing itself into hip hop, and music overall. Hip Hop is at least in part defined by its ability to act as a medium for the examination of an individual or group's unique perspective into the American experience. The more diverse these stories are the richer the experience for everyone involved. 

FØRD - OBLIVION (FEAT. RYA PARK)

The young 18-year-old producer phenom known as FØRD, from Byron Bay, NSW in Australia, is back with another stellar track that balances being a great modern pop song and showing off his talents as a producer. "Oblivion" features the sweet but haunting vocals of mysterious Melbourne newcomer Rya Park over FØRD's signature bouncy future synths and assortment of island-inspired percussion and punchy hip hop beats. It's a top notch addition to the youngster's growing catalog of impressive singles. 

FLUME - HEATER

In Baseball terms, a heater is described as the fastest pitch that a pitcher has to offer. A fastball so fast that the batter cannot catch up, it is a heater. Flume has just released “Heater” and we were definitely blown away at how good  this song is. We cannot keep up with it, it is way too fast, we have to put it on replay just so that we know what epicness we just listened to. This is definitely Flume’s best pitch he has to offer right now and I would not be surprised if “Heater" climbs up the charts just as fast as this song hit us. The bass is so heavy and the synth waves are so distinct that you cannot help but turn your head to catch your breath as the “Heater” is upon you taking your breath away. Flume, you are now officially our Ace in the Hole, our MVP, “Heater” is striking us as the next great track and all we can do is congratulate Flume for this epic home run of a song. Step up to the plate if you dare and listen to “Heater” by Flume.

ROBOTAKI - RIGHT TIME FEAT. ARI

Montreal's Robotaki is back with a sexy new single “Right Time” featuring the vivacious vocals of Ari released on the always lovely Majestic Casual. This tune initially develops mellow and groovy from the start with a pulsing rhythmic subby whomp that flips and folds around the churning rhythm section. Ari’s vocals sound sweet and relaxed although somewhat biting with the “never is the right time” lyric leading the way above the contemplative piano that chimes in sporadically. Around 1:45 the track unfolds into a massive future bass banger that's equally chilling as it is bombastic. This is his second original release in the last few months, and he's been on tour crushing support for Porter Robinson and Madeon, whichhh by the way LA if you don't have tickets to see their show tonight at the Shrine you're missing out! SAN HOLO - LIGHT

The weekend is here and we need a new craze. San Holo has just released a dope new track “Light”. Perfect for a weekend, especially with the holiday season arriving with the passing of Thanksgiving. “Light” provides the perfect mood during a December that is sure to get insane with holiday shopping, latte sipping, and ice skating. San Holo gives us the light to our ears that will provide you with that theme song you picture when you see beautiful things around you. San Holo keeps it very simple and yet it is the simple things that really make the difference. Not only in music but in many aspects of our lives. Do yourself a favor and indulge in this new hit from San Holo that will have you chasing the “Light”. Finally, an instance where going towards the light is not necessarily a bad thing. Enjoy.

WET PAINT & APRISKAH - MISS YOU

OMG finally - Thanksgiving break is here! For me, this means I get to work from home or my parents house - because taking a whole day off is pretty much impossible in my world. So, I'm going to be totally catchin' all y'all up with all the new tracks I've been listening to .... starting with this heater from Wet Paint & Apriskah. Not gonna lie .... Canadians feel dat bass in a big way, just another reason to love them. I used to think it was nothin' but super nice white people and tundra like weather in Canada .... oh how American of me! Their new track "Miss You" is huge - I'm getting all the future dub feels and yummy bass with this one! You can swoop a free download HERE!   

CRYWOLF - WINDSWEPT

Crywolf is at it again! Last month, we received the first original single from the LA post-EDM artist in the form of "Quantum Immortality", which we loved! While "Quantum Immortality" was a bit of a departure for him, being a more standardized song structure, "Windswept" brings us back to where we fell in love with his debut LP Cataclasm. He likens the track to his childhood love for Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody":

"Ever since I heard Bohemian Rhapsody as a kid, I’ve loved music that abandons typical verse/chorus structures in favor of movements — like the modern equivalent of a symphony."

"Windswept" follows in this suit, ebbing and flowing instead of hooking and repeating. If these last two masterpieces are any indicator of the quality of his forthcoming EP, we're in for a serious treat.

MILKY CHANCE - COCOON

Milky Chance is sure taking the Indie world by storm lately and they really feel like they are about to blossom into the spotlight. You may think that this was a very clever metaphor, yes, you’re right. Milky Chance has just released their newest hit “Cocoon” and it is already catching fire. “Cocoon” can be seen as their track that can propel them to stardom as a caterpillar breaks free from their Cocoon to blossom into a breathtakingly beautiful butterfly. They are very musically talented and we know that Milky Chance can really rock harder than most, but we see them step outside their alternative niche and take Indie by storm with good ol’ acoustics and harmonies. They keep it simple with the rhythmic guitar chord and a simple drum step to reel us in. The guitar playing is plucked beautifully to accent the soul of the music. You can swoop his track HERE!
