MAZDE - FADING OUT (FEAT. RROMARIN) // BUZZMIX OUT 7/26

MusicMike DooseComment

If you don’t know Mazde by now, you’re seriously missing out. The German producer first garnered serious attention when his remix of Disclosure’s “Help Me Lose My Mind” premiered via YouTube music curator MrSuicideSheep and consequently blew up to over 38 million views. Since then he’s released a handful of future bass originals and remixes (including the most popular official remix of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s “Say A Prayer For Me”) which have all helped develop the Mazde sound — evocative, chill, rich electronic production that incorporates elements of future bass, pop, deep house, trap, and hip hop. He’s also proven an incredible collaborator having released a whole EP with the amazing LissA and the hip hop future bass crossover Neverland with NY rapper Khary.

We’re proud to announce today that Mazde will be sharing an exclusive Buzzzmix coming out right here on Beautiful Buzzz next Wednesday July 26th. In anticipation of his mix, we’d love to share his latest original—"Fading Out" is a warm summery future pop number full of his signature lush electronic sounds complemented by Rromarin’s lovely, velvety, emotional vocals. Great for a backyard chill day by the pool with your significant other and cool beverage.

MAZDE - NEVERLAND (MEMBA & ARK PATROL REMIXES)

Music, RemixAlli LindseyComment

Electronic music is often portrayed as its own, stand-alone genre- specific to a certain crowd, following specific chord progressions and melodies. But, in recent years electronic production has influenced genres as niche as garage rock and heavy metal. Simply put, electronic music is changing the way the world listens to, and composes music. Stoney Roads Records' artist, Mazde confirmed this theory with the release of his single, "Neverland." The single was a collaborative track with Rhode Island rapper, Khary, combining two, seemingly different worlds, EDM and rap. As Mazde continues his European summer tour, he is rekindling his relationship with the 9 month old track by passing it on to two other producers for remixing. NYC duo, MEMBA and Seattle based, Ark Patrol stepped up to add their own, unique third dimension to "Neverland." MEMBA's treatment is self proclaimed as "cheeky." The twosome added a bangin' trap vibe, overflowing with pleasantly nasty turns and drops—it is dynamically hype. While MEMBA turned it into a slam dunk piece, Ark Patrol layered "Neverland" with a slower, deeper and darker resonance, putting emphasis on the conscious nature of its lyricism. It's safe to say that Mazde passed the torch to the proper artists for capitalization. Each remix possesses a distinctly different spirit, giving the original release the complimentary elements it deserves. Explore these polar yet plentiful remixes via Soundcloud, and keep your eyes peeled for a very special Mazde Buzzzmix coming soon.

Mazde European Tour Dates:
03 JUN - Young & Tuneful, Germany
18 JUN - Aperitivo al Verde, Italy
07 JUL - Neversea Festival Constanta, Romania
29 JUL - MOX, Cluj Napoca, Romania
03 AUG - Untold Festival, Romania
04 AUG - Sounds Of The Forest, Germany

MAZDE - WICKED WINDS

Mike DooseComment

Man do I love me some Mazde! The young German producer sure knows how to create a vibe. Last month I shared "Neverland" feat. Khary, his foray into adding some rap onto his future bass-y, soundscape-y style (which ended up hitting the coveted #1 spot on HypeM). This time, I'm so jazzed on "Wicked Winds" which is more of a chill, chugging, atmospheric dance number. He creates an incredibly infectious rhythm with the airy percussion and layers over it the dreamiest of synth chords and vocal samples. Gorgeous use of attenuating filters draws attention to different parts of the mix. The end result is an otherworldly jam that would be the ideal soundtrack for cruising along the ocean coast at night. Listen for yourself above or in any other form HERE courtesy of our Aussie friends at Stoney Roads Records.

MAZDE - NEVERLAND FT. KHARY

Mike DooseComment

Happy weekend and Happy October y'all! This gem of a track came out last week, but I've been slammed at work, per usual, so I'm only just now getting around to writing it up. I love future bass. Bash it all you want, but when done well, it's a magical style of music that can meld with so many other genres well. Hip hop is one of those genres. Flume killed it with Vic Mensa and Vince Staples; New Zealanders SACHI did it incredibly well with LA rapper DUCKWRTH. And here's another fine example from Berlin-based producer Mazde. Teaming up with NY-based rapper Khary for "Neverland", he manages to seamlessly blend an impressive palette of future synths with flawless hip hop percussion. The resulting effort is a hella bouncy beat with veriloquent verbiage and phenomenal flow from Khary's rhymes.

Our favorite thing to do here at Beautiful Buzzz is expose all you amazing people in the world who actually read this blog to fresh up-and-coming artists we think need to be on your radar. Today's Buzzzmix Vol. 24 does just that! We were recently introduced to PALASTIC from an awesome filous remix they put out a last month.  We are huge filous supporters, and once we found out PALASTIC was also from Vienna making the same kind of super viby jams, we were hooked right away! Vienna is an infamous city of music, creating some of the first rock stars the world has ever known .... like Schubert, Strauss, and Mozart ... pretty impressive!! When you walk down her streets you can feel the energy of these greats resonating throughout ... at least I did! I imagine it's a fantastic place to create music, and it reflects in this carefully curated Buzzzmix.  This duo has captured that feeling of summertime sunsets and late night dancefloor grooves for all the feels!
