AUTUMN IN JUNE - COCAINE EIGHTIES

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

This is not the first time we've talked about this fresh Los Angeles electro pop newbie, and if he keeps dropping jams like this if definitely wont be the last. Autumn In June has a new single "Cocaine Eighties" and we are loving all the things about it! He mixes up 80's new wave electro funk with 90's R&B with synth pop and hip-hop vibes ... I can't get enough! This kid writes and produces all his own tracks in a log cabin in his South Central back yard that he built himself from Youtube instructional videos ... I can't even make this shit up! He's great, and not listening to Autumn in June is not an option.

COSMOS & CREATURE - YOUNG (WIN AND WOO REMIX)

Music, RemixEricComment

If you've been following our little blog here in the last year, then you've definitely heard us post these two amazing artists time and time again. I'm grateful enough to know personally both parties involved in this remix and I'm super happy to see them doing so well. Cosmos & Creature comprised of Brandyn Burnette and Molly Moore have been absolutely hustling, giving us tons of material and crushing it release after release. Their single "Young" has been on repeat since it came out back in September (check out our review here), but now we're starting to see the remixes appear. Win and Woo the Chicago duo comprised of Austin Gahsen and Nick Winholt just recently released their killer new single "Recognize (feat. Ashe)," which is crushing both Soundcloud and Spotify, and have also recently launched their new live show and just finished touring with The Chainsmokers, Autograf, and Timeflies. With so much cool stuff happening in both camps it's only fitting they've come together to release this awesome new dance floor heater. Hit play and you'll instantly get hype to this fun tune full of bobbing stabs, piano, deep bass, vox chops, and an infectious chorus lead melody that's very much stuck in my head. You can stream this tune on Spotify here, and can also download it for free here.

SOLARSUIT - JUST FOR THE THRILL

Music, Original MixHarrison Morgan2 Comments

Christopher Walken provided such an iconic moment portraying Bruce Dickinson during a skit in Saturday Night Live with just 5 words: I gotta have more cowbell! I want it to be widely-known today that I am proclaiming “I gotta have more keyboards!” Solarsuit is newest band that coming in with full steam as they have the makings of the next great band. One, of course, is being that they have a keyboardist that really knows how to wail on the keyboard. Two, their newest track “Just for the Thrills” just came out just days ago and it really rocks on. It is a modernized “New Wave” sound that is surely to change the music scene with their range of instruments and vocals. As the song says in its title, give Solarsuit a listen below “Just for the Thrills.

JAI WOLF - LIKE IT'S OVER FT. MNDR

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

Watching this young producer rise over the past two years has been nothing short of amazing! I've gone (as a buyer) from twisting people's arms to book him on shows, to not being able to get him on my own shows because all the corporate entertainment companies that leverage festival plays or can buy 30 dates all at once have their hooks into him! As long as Jai Wolf keeps making bad ass tracks, I won't be too mad about it ... and I can always do the after party! I also have the street cred for being at  the forefront of his evolution .... and he's only getting bigger! "Like It's Over ft. MNDR" will be featured on Jai Wolf's debut EP Kindred Spirits and will be out on November 18th! Bananas good!

COURTSHIP. - STOP FOR NOTHING (SACHI REMIX)

Music, RemixMike DooseComment

The New Zealand youngster duo that is SACHI has a story that I love telling at parties. They stalked Diplo on Instagram to find out where he was going to be and then chucked a USB drive with their music on it into an open window of his SUV. Six months later he played it on his BBC Radio 1 show Diplo and Friends. Crazy right? You know what’s also crazy? This remix they did for new indie synth-pop duo courtship., whose infectious debut single “Stop For Nothing” exploded onto the airwaves just a couple months ago and has already surpassed a millions plays on Spotify. Released by fledgling label 20XX, the remix shows SACHI tweaking and modulating the original in fun and unique ways. Just enough to tide us over until courtship. share the follow-up!

CRYWOLF - QUANTUM IMMORTALITY

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

Crywolf is such a boyfriend! This Los Angeles singer/songwriter not only runs in my circle of friends, he makes me swoon over his brilliant music time and time again. His new track "Quantum Immortality" is nothing short of brilliant - with his dreamy soaring vocals, synthy melodies and future feels beats it does not get much better than this! I am bias tho because .... boyfriend! You guys can grab this as a free download HERE!

KAUF - KEY TO LIFE

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

One of the greatest feelings I experience is watching some of my most wonderful friends gain success in this very cut throat and saturated industry we all run around in. KAUF is a fabulous singer/songwriter from Los Angeles who I've been besties with for years, and 2016 has definitely been his breakout year. With an album completed and set for release in 2017, as well as killer live set, KAUF is poised for greatness. "Key To Life" is the third single from Regrowth, and this one is following suit with his signature sound - that dark synthy electro pop groove that is more like a spiritual journey rather than a song. Industry is flipping out over KAUF as well, and every time one of my peers brings up his name, I smile and think to myself .... finally people are seeing what I have seen all along. "Key To Life" is currently sitting at #1 on HypeMachine, and waking up to that has made my day! You guys can swoop this track HERE!

AMOS & EMILY - FIERCE LOVE

Music, Original MixEricComment

The good and bad side of music blogging is that I get sent a lot of emails. I really do try and read as much as I can, but a lot of times great tracks slip away and I don't get around to supporting them. I feel bad because I know how much time and effort it takes to create a buzzz worthy tune, but  on the flip side I get super excited when I get sent tracks like this gem from newcomers Amos & Emily. At this point I don't have a whole lot of info to give you other than that the duo is Australian born Amos Wellings and Emily Leary currently living in London. "Fierce Love" is their second release and is full of juicy ear worms to dive into. The pre-chorus builds with piano and pads swelling into an infectous chorus with magical arps and pumping synths. They have tight harmonies and story like lyricism adding to the mystique of the single. This group is young, but I sense a bright future ahead. You can grab this single on iTunes here and Spotify here

FJORD - HEY HEY, MY MY (INTO THE BLACK)(NEIL YOUNG COVER)

Music, CoverErin MaherComment

I have some real love for Canadians - over the past few years I have made some really rad musical friends from that beautiful country, and that circle is only growing. Today I wanted to introduce you to Fjord, a fantastic up-and-coming duo from Quebec who have melted my heart with their cover of "Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black) by the legend Neil Young. This version is brilliant! Filled with floating synths and atmospheric vocals, Fjord crushes this one with all the feels! Their full length album Textures will be out September 16, so until then keep this one on repeat.
