ALEX LUSTIG - LOVE LIKE US
Music, Original MixCommentBeautiful Buzzz favorite Alex Lustig returns boasting his signature charm with his latest single “Love Like Us.” A driving force as a producer behind the scenes for Freddie Gibbs and Young Thug, Lustig’s solo career is an esoteric take on indie-electronic. His feathery production, ethereal transitions, and crisp vocal features are the pillars that define his stunning catalog of sounds. “Love Like Us” carefully balances easy cadences and hip-hop-esque chops, creating a tonal divergence that doubles as synchronicity. Alex Lustig, we’re listening.

FIKA - HIGH
Music, Original MixCommentInspired by legends from the likes of Anderson .Paak, John Mayer, FKJ, and D’Angelo, London-based duo fika returns with their breezy single, “High.” Defined by lush guitar licks and feathery, slackened cadences, this Sunday morning anthem exudes an acute coolness. The R&B-esque joint boasts distorted, buttery vocals that cascade atop a Tom Misch style of production, illuminating fika’s dexterity and influence. This easy tune serves smooth vibes on a silver platter, making fika one of our favorite new outfits to keep an eye on. Kick back, spark up, and ride the wave with “High.”
ERIC SHARP - TAKE THIS TIME FT. ZHAO
Music, Original MixCommentEric Sharp has returned with a chill new original "Take This Time" with repeat vocalist and indie soul singer Zhao. We posted their last record "The Thirst" and ya know when you've got a good thing going you repeat it. This is a mellow house tune that's relaxing and breezy to listen to. Eric says about the tune, “'Take This Time’ speaks directly to the reality that individual closed mindedness is literally costing human lives on a consistent basis. If people could open their minds and hearts more, a much better world is possible. Currently we seem stuck in cycles of hatred and otherness. The song is imbued with a deep sadness around this fact, and a more general poignancy around missed opportunities and unrealized potential,” Incredible truths that we can't promote and re-iterate enough, and oh by the way also pairs perfectly with fantastic music. This tune is the first single from Eric Sharp's forthcoming EP "Eric Sharp and Friends" set for release in early 2018.
RUSTY HOOK - RELIEF (FT. TRUITT)
Original Mix, MusicComment
For the unawares, Rusty Hook, aside from his contribution to the Slow Hours project, has been lurking around SoundCloud racking up millions of plays and drawing off the oldest heads on the platform. He has been building his cv and biding his time, but now he is ready to release his first original project, Romance is Dead, Good Riddance. The first single of the compilation, ‘Relief’, features smooth and colorful vocals from brother-sister duo Truitt. Rusty Hook’s production on the track blends R&B with electronic, leaving a lasting impression. Combined with the sultry lyrical delivery of Truitt, the track truly shines.
Disclosure: Rusty Hook is promoted by Beautiful Buzzz writer Lindsey Oh + Alli Lindsey
LISTENBEE - CHILDREN FT. COSMOS & CREATURE (ATTOM REMIX)
Remix, MusicCommentFollowing the success of his Cosmos & Creature assisted single “Children”, Listenbee has returned with an official remix in tow. Supported everywhere from MrSuicideSheep to Hardwell’s Off The Record on Sirius XM and reaching #1 on Hype Machine, the original was a genuinely jubilant cut with a carefree ethos. Thus it makes sense he’s tapped Attom - whose remix credits include Steve Aoki and Bishop Briggs - for a flip that maintains the youthful energy of “Children” while serving a breezy, chilled out vibe to perfection.
[PREMIERE] BAYNK - COME HOME [W/ SHALLOU] (HAZEY EYES REMIX)
PREMIERE, RemixCommentIf you’re a casual listener of Spotify’s curated chill/electronic playlists, there’s a good chance you’ve heard BAYNK. The New Zealand-based producer is known for his sensual textures and layered electronic arrangements on tracks such as “What You Need” and “Poolside.” He’s also released notable remixes for artists such as gnash (“I hate u, I love u”) as well as A R I Z O N A (“I Was Wrong”).
While I can’t say for sure, there’s a good chance that Philadelphia-based artist Hazey Eyes has been on some of the same playlists as BAYNK. They both create supremely chill, atmospheric indie electronic music and share support from some of the same industry tastemakers, namely YouTube promotional channel turned full-on record label Majestic Casual. Today marks the release of BAYNK’s official remix package for his latest single “Come Home”, a collab with Chicago-based producer/vocalist Shallou. Hazey’s take is easily the most relaxing and moody redo of the four in the pack. It’s a delicate and tranquil piece of music that might make you teary, or in my case is keeping me sane and relaxed on this Friday morning despite the mountain of work I know I have ahead of me today. Enjoy!
MAZDE - FADING OUT (FEAT. RROMARIN) // BUZZMIX OUT 7/26
MusicCommentIf you don’t know Mazde by now, you’re seriously missing out. The German producer first garnered serious attention when his remix of Disclosure’s “Help Me Lose My Mind” premiered via YouTube music curator MrSuicideSheep and consequently blew up to over 38 million views. Since then he’s released a handful of future bass originals and remixes (including the most popular official remix of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s “Say A Prayer For Me”) which have all helped develop the Mazde sound — evocative, chill, rich electronic production that incorporates elements of future bass, pop, deep house, trap, and hip hop. He’s also proven an incredible collaborator having released a whole EP with the amazing LissA and the hip hop future bass crossover Neverland with NY rapper Khary.
We’re proud to announce today that Mazde will be sharing an exclusive Buzzzmix coming out right here on Beautiful Buzzz next Wednesday July 26th. In anticipation of his mix, we’d love to share his latest original—"Fading Out" is a warm summery future pop number full of his signature lush electronic sounds complemented by Rromarin’s lovely, velvety, emotional vocals. Great for a backyard chill day by the pool with your significant other and cool beverage.
