FOREIGN AIR - BETTER FOR IT + FOR THE LIGHT EP

Jesse Clasen and Jacob Michael better know as their dropbox project Foreign Air have put together a string of great releases beginning almost a year ago with the fantastic single "Free Animal." Flash forward to now, the duo has released their debut 'For The Light' EP today featuring the other singles "In The Shadows," "Echo," and most recently "Better For It." This single starts simply with piano, but evolves into a well produced indie pop tune with an exotic quality to it. The soundscape is lush and complex while still smooth to the core. This is an excellent book end to a break out year for the guys. SF you can catch Foreign Air at the Fillmore 11/25 and LA you can see them as part of the Red Bull Sound Select series at the Fonda 11/27 and 11/28 with Aurora and Oyster Kids. VINCENT - RETROGRADE

Seven months after giving us ‘Her’ Vincent is back with a brand new sound. "Retrograde" is much deeper and seems more personal than Vincent’s past track. With it's releases Vincent posted a message on his Soundcloud page and had this to say “...  I've always wanted to showcase emotion and keep it at the forefront of my songs.” and I think "Retrograde" is full of emotion. Everything about the track is a little more intense than his other music and it pays off for sure. This is an awesome tune and I’ll definitely be looking out for more songs like this from Vincent.

AKIHABARA! - TAKE FLIGHT

19 year old, St. Louis based akihabara! continues down the path of dropping moody future bass tracks while steadily growing his presence online. "Take Flight" keeps the trend going, with melodic synths ebbing and flowing over a hard ambient bass line. Altogether adding a thorough layer of umph to an overall cerebral musical experience. Keep an eye and an ear out for this up and comer. 

OYSTER KIDS - 40 NIGHTS

I'm in a very indie vibe today, so I'm gonna keep it going. We haven't been able to show Oyster Kids love in a while, so I definitely want to catch back up and throw some support behind their new single "40 Nights," and mention a few of their other amazing tracks they've released since our post of their first release "Creepy" almost a year ago (wow it's been that long!!). If you haven't heard the groovy "Lips," and the laid back summer beach friendly tune "Gum (Everybody's My Friend)," do yourself a favor and put those on your day time jams playlist. "40 Nights" is their best yet in my opinion, the falsetto chorus is just too infectious. The active rhythm section keeps the song chipper while the verse vocals mesmerizingly drift on. The combination of the verse and chorus places "40 Nights" into a mixed bag of emotions: the chorus is lighter and catchy, yet the verses inspire something almost mysterious. The net result is a song that's interesting and pop friendly all at the same time, which is no simple task these days.   

KNGDAVD - POPPIES

Newcomers KNGDAVD comprised of singer Tye James and multi-instrumentalist and producer Jon Buscema met at the University of the Arts in Philly. Considering themselves Jazz rejects they joined forces to eventually create KNGDAVD. Forget jazz! Tye and Jon are owning a superb blend of blues, rock and pop in a way that's gritty, fun and suppperrr catchy. "Poppies" is an instant ear pleaser the second you hit play with a vocal falsetto and distorted synth like guitar leading us into a verse and chorus that grab you and won't let go. Now located in NYC and with a hypem #1 already to their credit for "Say My Name," this duo sounds like they're primed and ready for a national presence. If this is your first time hearing these guys I'm happy to say "Poppies" is one hell of an introduction. 

[PREMIERE] RICO & MIELLA x TELYKAST - WORTH FIGHTING FOR

Honestly - what's happening in LA and electronic music is brilliant! My home town is like a manufacturing plant spewing out fantastic sounds every minute of every day. The city is overflowing with creativity and the great exodus out west is happening once again with young music makers and industry newbies hoping to make moves in the city of angels. Today's premiere is from aspiring LA duo TELYKast with their latest original "Worth Fighting For." New York electronic pop duo Rico & Miella provide super delicious vocals laid over a sick moody melody and huge synthy future beats!  All the feels with this one! STÖÖKI SOUND - ENDZ

Stööki Sound rocked our Get Buzzzed SXSW showcase last March with their signature heavy beats. I was soo completely amped after the show I had to go backstage and take a pickle back shot with Erin lol good times! Fast forward six months Stööki is back with an eclectic, but hype trap tune that crushes with deep intensity. According to DJ Lukey and Jelacee, “Endz is the first single off of our Ösiris EP. It’s a brooding instrumental, that captures the dark and tense atmosphere of the area of London in which we grew up. Endz will take you on a musical journey through the streets of London.” The single also marks the launch of their Ö.N.E Worldwide label and the kickoff of their Fall North American Tour. DENNY WHITE - PSYCHO

We all have to take the good with the bad in life, and sometimes it can be rather challenging. Personally - my career is taking off! I have an amazing job that I love where I get to put together lineups for club nights, electronic music events and festivals - kinda kick ass.  Also, this here blog is growing a such a fast rate I legit can't keep up! It's all good, but then holy mac it drives me crazy! Some days I am pulled in so many directions that if I don't shut everything down and take a breath I'll go psycho! Good with the bad.... Denny White is feeling me however, and if you were to ask me what's good riiiight now - I'd say this track! "Psycho" is electro pop perfection - his vocals are so soulful and dreamy I'm swooning. He just get's me. If you're feeling a bit psycho today then this one should be the perfect thing to soothe your soul! 

PHANTOM SAGE - AWAY (FT. BYNDY)

We’ve heard a few different styles from Phantom Sage and this time it seems they wanted to blur the lines a bit and hit us with a progressive dubstep tune. ‘Away’ starts off pretty chill with a lot of echoing vocals, but soon enough it starts building up and preparing you for the awesome drop. This track makes me think of Flume and Rocket having a love child and i can’t get enough of it. This song is beginning to gain traction and for all the right reasons, take a listen below and go check out these guys’ Soundcloud, you won’t regret it.
